Still my favorite course. Was neighbourhood when young, after all those years still in excellent conditions!nnGreen was challenging. Didn't expect it was a bit slow.
I had a frustrating experience at pro shop today. I originally booked a 9-hole game for 3 people but later changed it to 18 holes for 2 people by email, with a $15 credit remaining. Despite this, the receptionist lady was rude and insisted the system only showed my original 9-hole booking. She was unhelpful and dismissive, which made the situation worse. I originally wanted to use $15 for hiring equipment for my parents. She said we paid to third party agency and she can’t do anything with the credit. She even said she already gave me a favor and give me benefit of doubt??? Additionally, when I asked for female clubs for my mom, she said they didn't have any and only had general clubs. However, a male staff member later found female clubs for us.nThe poor customer service and lack of resolution left me very dissatisfied. I hope they improve both their system accuracy and staff demeanor.
Called the pro shop today to ask about available tee off times. Grant person who answered gave a time and I asked if I could request for a pencil booking as I will need to confirm with a friend within 2 minutes. He rudely told me to “just call back when you know what you’re doing” verbatim. I would have accepted a simple “no, we don’t accept pencil bookings and you can just call back once you’ve finalised your plan”. The way he said it and the choice of words was just rude.
Muirfield is a fantastic course. The greens are generous and the fairways are quite nice. When we played the greens were recovering from their winter coring, but the roll was very consistent on all the greens. Despite the dry weather, the greens were extremely lush. There are 2 very long par 4's and a few short par 4's. Overall the course is quite challenging and well worth heading out. As others have said, the clubhouse is fantastic and the view over the 16th and 18th greens is brilliant.nPlayed again on the 1st of July and the course and greens are in fantastic condition.
THE best Chinese food we’ve had!! Rich in flavour! The chef there is in a class of their own!
