We're recently relocated to 9 Maclean Street, Paraparaumu Beach which is just across the road from our previous location.

Story

A family business with a passion for cooking, sharing authentic Thai cuisine with locals since 2001.

"Muang" stands for "town" so it seemed fitting to name our family restaurant "Muang Thai". We've hoped It's where locals can taste and enjoy authenticate Thai cuisine like Phad Thai and Green Curry.

Food is great, but don't expect to order a takeaway and arrive to pick it up.
It would seem that they don't start cooking until after you turn up. So you may as well dine in.
Sat for more than 20 minutes waiting for the takeaway that had been ordered 30 minutes prior to arrival. The restaurant side was only two tables, so being busy is not the issue.

We decided to stop off to grab some food and wait for the Easter traffic to die down back into Wellington. Food was pretty good! Atmosphere was a bit average.

This is my favourite Thai Restaurant. It is an easy walk from my home, which makes it even better.
The Business is family run and this gives a very warm welcome atmosphere. The business has recently moved into these larger premises at 12 Maclean Street. The food is consistently good and flavoursome and many of my friends are also regular visitors. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. A7 is my favourite on the menu and the mixed starter is beautiful..

The best Thai food I've had in a long time. Expect to wait slightly longer for food because it is more authentic with no frozen vegetables.

My favourite Thai Restaurant. The whole fish is amazing plus I love the Musamum curry. Roti is delicious
