Situated at the base of Mt Barney within the Scenic Rim, Mt Barney Lodge is an Ecotourism retreat that offers self contained accommodation and optional meals. Relax in one of our Queenslander Homesteads, Cabins, Deluxe Camper Trailers, or try camping.

Mt Barney Lodge is family friendly, and has adventure activities for kids and adults including rock climbing, abseiling, night adventure, bushwalking, sunset ecotour and mountain expeditions.

Mt Barney Lodge is the perfect family destination with full creek frontage, open fireplaces, shade and a grassy camp ground. Qualified outdoor leaders run childrens’ adventure activities during holiday periods and weekends. Kids can play independently, ride their bike, and visit the farm animals who are helping with the permaculture garden.

Mt Barney Lodge is perfect for small conferences, meetings and team building workshops. Groups are welcome with 46 people able to be accommodated in beds across the 6 venues.

This wilderness experience is 90 minutes drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Plenty of walks, swimming holes and nature to take in. Friendly and helpful staff. Capped number of campers so never squashed in with hordes of people. Stars at night were spectacular. Great idea to have kid themed activities available during peak times. Will certainly be returning!

Really great place. We camped for 1 night before climbing Mt Barney, but have stayed longer before. Beautiful open campground, firepits are great, toilets are very nice and eco-friendly.

Fantastic camp ground! Right next to the fresh water creek, we spent the afternoons swimming and taking in the beautiful scenery. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent place for camping and camper trailer. We loved the creek and a swim as well it is very close to My Barney.  What a view to wake up to!

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays and enjoyed it a lot. Innes and Tracey were great hosts. We booked as a group of 12 but two of them could not come. Although the policy is no refunds for late cancellations they were kind enough to allow us to use that money towards other things like firewood and ice for the esky. The on site activity (Bush buddies) was also great for the kids. The night sky was beautiful with all the stars and even the Milky Way in view. 

Only suggestion would be: There was a massive storm on Christmas evening and with limited mobile coverage we were not very prepared as we went to the creek for a swim after lunch. If they could give us a heads up about such weather fronts it would be great. I realise it was Christmas Day and the office was only open for a very short time. 

Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back again in the cooler months.
