Fantastic place for a brilliant meal and a great choice of drinks!
The food was good, the waiter really needs a lesson in service! Asked politely if we could move to a cooler area, was dismissive, "that AC is broken" and made repeating our orders seem like a huge chore. On checkout I directly asked him three times when the air conditioner would be fixed I'd have liked to come back! he ignored me until I asked "are you ignoring me?" to which he responded "I don't know, madam." This is a between us three $309 bill for lunch. Sir, you are in the wrong game.
Quite little spot, but the food and service is amazing.
Prices are rather steep for the area, most drinks are marked up to double to retail cost. Lack of vegan options presented on the menu, however, they were happy to alter dishes. Food was very good.
Food was excellent. Small menu with a good local wine and craft beer list. Both inside and outside seating. Outside seating had blankets and pillows so you could enjoy the garden. Wood fires for the cold winter days.
Nice coffee. Food expensive for what it is. We ordered crushed and fried potatoes with rosemary but was more like a very small serving of chips. Saw the chief out the back using frozen birds eye peas. Staff started watching a loud video on laptop while we were eating near by, totally ruined the atmosphere. Disapointed as I've had lovely experiences here in the past. Won't be coming back anytime soon.
Nice atmosphere very friendly and great staff .any requests was promptly dealt with. The meals are absolutely mouth watering. And well presented. 3 course meal with drinks was reasonably priced .I'd definitely go there again .
Called in en route to Melbourne for lunch, and were lucky enough to snag a table; all the rest were reserved. We felt so lucky that we did. The roast snapper we had for lunch was sublime. Just beautifully and simply cooked. We then proceeded to dessert, which amply filled the promise of the main course. Despite the staff being slammed, they were friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommend, but perhaps suggest booking for Sunday lunch, in case you're disappointed.
Great wine selection from local producers. Food was a massive let down. Oysters Kilpatrick served cold and raw with burnt bacon and soy sauce, prawns overcooked and dry. Part of order was completely missed, not sure if a good thing or not.
We always have a great time at Parkland. Service is always amazing and food is generally hearty and full of flavor! The only negative is the cheese board.. we ordered a cheese board with two cheeses assuming that would be enough for 3 people to share. The slices were very small and especially for $17. Also the biscuits that accompany the cheese and the salumi boards are like baguette crisps that are quite hard to eat and take away from the beautiful flavors of everything else. Other than that... we always love our experience here!
