If you've never driven the track before, you definitely should try and get on a manufacturer's driving experience or professional drivers training day. You definitely gain a better appreciation for the professional racing drivers who go around here for hours at a time.
Absolutely breathtaking. We went in the early afternoon and just as the sun was setting. A beautiful, peaceful drive with stop points to view. Highly recommend. It was certainly worth the drive. Do stop into the car museum as you exit.
If you're into motor racing, this is a must do. You can drive it, police do patrol frequently. We saw two police cars on the road "track" in the space of 30 mins. There's toilets at the top of the mountain. If you're in the area, worth a visit.
Beautiful venue. The misty mornings add to the adventure and challenges for the endurance races. Worth having a weekend camping trip with friends and families. Plenty of spots to watch cars roar.
Great place a bit muddy in the wet, wood chip has been placed in some spots walking in through the gates which makes it so much better. The track is great to walk. Unless you have walked the track you would never understand the angle of the track as the camera never does it justice. Take 2 hours and walk around the track it's worth it and a great experience just pack a speaker and drinks.
Stunning view of the valley and nice racing car museum with good collection’s of racing cars and motor bikes to visit all year round. You can drive through racing track for free unlimited time but be careful of not driving more than 60 km per hour. Police and cameras are everywhere in the racing tracks.
A great place to visit if you are interested in the racing circuit. The speed limit is 60km and traffice is two-way. You can drive the whole circuit but need to be careful. Going through the bends at the top of the hill makes you realise how skilful the racing drivers are. There are a few places to stop at the top and enjoy the views from Mt Panorama.
Not much needs to be said. The place is iconic. If you love motor racing, this is a must visit. Drive around the circuit and you'll get a real idea of how steep and challenging it is, something that only seeing it on TV you just can't quite appreciate. And if you're lucky enough to get to drive around it at speed, it's an exhilarating and reverent experience.
Great idea for the off-season to open up to the public: easy to access from main streets, well-maintained and marked road with panoramic views and areas to stop/ take photos from the top. Overall gives you a good appreciation of the track difficulty during racing season - pretty unique experience. Would recommend getting out and doing the short boardwalk at the top of the Mount. Note speed limit is 60kph haha.
Iconic. Keep your speed in mind but you can go around anti clockwise- as the racing goes, or clockwise. Cycle, walk, run or drive. Choice is yours. Look out for roos, speed traps and wall kisses :-
