Very lovely place, It was nice touring all the parts of the mine I was allowed to see! Unfortunately, during the tour I got drunk from stealing all the ale from the fridge and fell deep into the cave and stumbled upon a Chinese Military facility deep under the ground. They tried to make me forget what I saw but I can still recall most of it! If I ever get the chance I might take the tour again, but they might not do them anymore after the incident.
Really worth a look if you love Australia. Just drive up and cruise along. You can do tours etc but don't have to. It is part of our history/heritage and we owe it a lot for our country's prosperity. Its not a spectacular outlook - like the view from the top of the hill - but it is worth a look.

Loved working there for 7 years. A mine site dedicated to safety and ensuring the environment is cared for.
