Lunch and dinner specials offer value for money. There's plenty of dining space to accommodate large bookings.nnI had a fisherman's Catch while my hubby had the sirloin steak. I must say, those chips are the best on the market but they could be cooked crunchier. If you didn't order drinks, you can get away with less than $20/per person.nnMy friend tried the creamy garlic prawns with rice. The amount of sauce is generous, in my opinion, it would have gone better with pasta noodles than rice.
6 of us were more than happy with our meals plus portion sizes. I personally had the Seniors Fisherman's basket - Best ever. Perfectly crunchy battered seafood and chips. Just the way I love them. Size was really big. Service great. I don't usually comment but I was so pleased with my best ever meal I felt I should. Thank you.
This place is great place for meals. Six of us went on Sunday 3 Guinness pies, 2 roast pork and 1 nasi goring they were all tasty. Drinks are all a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and always welcoming. Best place for a Sunday lunch south of the river. Will be back again.
Three of us went for dinner on a Tuesday night. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. Meals were large 2 of our group did not finish all of their meal. Great atmosphere and chairs and tables had plenty of space. We will be back.
The Mt Henry Tavern represents your classic local tavern. It's nothing too exciting, but it's where you feel at home. The beer choice is standard, but it's all you need. The food options are the same as most pubs but I must admit I've never had a complaint about how it's cooked. They also offer great specials throughout the week. Definitely worth visiting for a catch up with friends and a nice feed/beer.
