Halfway up the Cape Byron Walking Track, you will find a lookout where you can look at the tip of the headland which is the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. I guess this is a place where you can just sit and chill, and enjoy what nature has to offer. We were fortunate enough to see a number of whales and dolphins doing their "thing" a few hundred metres off the coast. But there is really not much here other than a sign, a park bench and some barriers to stop visitors from plunging to their deaths.
A place you wouldn’t want to miss on earth! I really enjoyed the scenery and the beautiful view from this location! Amazing view! Your photos are going to look like a magical guys! Go for it! I have added the magic photo when the waves hit the beach and creating the soap foam like snowing.. I enjoyed the moments and took good pictures with it.. just didn’t put it here.. hehehe.. however awesome place to go mate!
A must see, with great views. Start with the lighthouse and a short walk to the most easterly point, the track would continue for another 2 km to end in a nice beach Could be windy, so be prepared specially in cold season Parking might be an issue in peak hours
Simply stunning spot! Well worthwhile sitting down at for a few minutes and just soaking it all up.

East Coast of Australia, excellent walk around and great views. Parking you need to get in quick. Right beaches great lighthouse great scenery of the rocks and the ragged posh Australian coastline absolutely fantastic place to come one of the compass points of Australia another 1 ticked off the list I was he 19 years ago but it is still a great place to come. And whale watching on the beach and out in the sea,,,
Being the most easterly point Australia it is popular for sunrise and sunset. It is surprising how many people get up early and they're having champagne as the sun rises. This is a good spot for whale watching, especially as they migrate South as they often come closer to the mainland if they have calves with them. It is also a good spot year-round for. They are several hundred dolphins living in the area. Be sure to scan the QR codes at the information stations along the trail. If going at peak time I see morning and evening be prepared for to be quite busy with walkers and runners.
We have walked pass this sign a few times in the past but never really payed attention to what it said, it wasn’t until we touched the northern sign that we had the bug to track down and touch the rest! This is a lovely coastal walk that is a must do, you can park below and take your time to soak in the great views. “Jonique Life” Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
