What a fantastic library, lots to do with kids and quiet places to study in a beautiful location. Very integrated in community offering weekly and school holiday kids workshops and being a safe and comfortable place for people to read and study. Thank you so much you are so invaluable!
The library is great, but a lot of the high school students who use the ‘quiet’ study area on the lower level are extremely inconsiderate of other people who are trying to concentrate. Today there are three tables of high school kids who are treating it like a social club, chatting and laughing loudly and for long periods. It really is difficult to concentrate. Library staff are meant to do regular walk throughs, but this doesn’t seem to be happening. Really disappointing for those of us who come to the library for a peaceful place to work.
Great local library with an extensive range of books and magazines. There is also a large study area and research section. Set over two levels it is a lovely atmosphere to study/work/read/look for a book. Staff are friendly and helpful. They also have an App for managing your book hire.
3 cheers for the library, a venerable institution in a nice location with friendly and helpful staff, and a range of things to borrow, including their electronic collection. Hip hip...! :-
Enjoy visiting the library however times have changed no more is there peace and quiet. People hold loud conversations talk on their phones and children are allowed to scream the place down. It's always worth a visit so many books and mags to choose from just wish it was as quiet as it once was.
