I was so happy when we moved into Sandbar, Burleigh Heads last December. Our apartment was better than we expected! However since then the behaviour of the Morris Group has left a sour taste in my mouth. They give me the impression that they have sold the apartments and are no longer interested in the fate of the building. The final straw came when I was informed that the vacant shop next to our lobby had been rented out to EzyMart, a cheap, attracting the worst, open all hours, ugly retail chain INSTEAD of the "coffee shop or similar" that we were promised on the marketing pictures and by the sales agent when we bought the unit. I would not have bought in this development had I known this.
Luckily only wasted 2K with this building company. Signed up for an apartment, they got the contact wrong so many times we cancelled, especially when we saw how they wiped their hands of major building defects in a Canberra apartment building. They build cheap, boxy towers. They also show total disrespect for their buyers, take the Synergy buyers for example, sold a nice outlook, Morris didn't tell them they were going to build the much higher Cube building right next to them, now another behind them and another to the north, blocking in and shadowing their original buyers in Synergy. Just in it for profit, not for any pride of legacy, destroy the Gold Coast then go on to pillage the next area mug enough to let them get away with their disregard for the area.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!! I wish putting 0 stars was an option. Experienced first hand what being a tenant of Morris Property Group is like and there is no better way to describe them than rude, unprofessional, and threatening towards their tenants. Travis will go to any length to try and prove he is right. Do yourself a favour and use someone professional, that actually cares and doesn’t take everything personal. I don’t recommend signing a lease with Morris Property Group there are so many better property managers out there!
Avoid this company to save yourself a painful time. I dealt with Alana a few days back, and this is not someone who should be dealing directly with people. She is rude, condescending and highly unprofessional. Unless you want the headache of such negativity in your life, avoid them.
I wish putting 0 stars was an option. My partner and I have just come home from being dragged to court by these property managers. Travis and Alana were the most unprofessional, disrespectful, ignorant property managers we have ever encountered. We leased a unit in Ocean street, Mermaid Beach with them for just over a year. It was so bad that we broke our lease to move elsewhere and we have been so happy since! I recommend avoiding renting through Morris Property Group at all costs.
I have leased 2 apartments over the last 2 years from Morris Property Group and had a pleasure to deal with Tania and recently also with Natalie. Always quick replies via email and easily reachable through phone. Great assistance throughout the process.
We were tenants at The Greens in Armrick Avenue Broadbeach. This is my first experience with MPG. We have faced to some maintenance problems, but everything was managed nicely by my property manager Tania. She has done an excellent job and always keeps good communication with us. She is Knowledgeable and highly professional. I highly recommend Tania as a property manager and wish her all the best for her future career.
Worst property manager's I've ever dealt with. Took days to advise us they had taken over as property manager's so paid our old property manager's and was then emailed advising that my account was in arrears. Advised a team member multiple times that we had a new tenant and to change the lease, yet took months and they were still emailing the old tenant. After doing inspections, perform no maintenance on the unit when there is clearly issues with the property. We now have a mould issue and I have lost items due to this. Save yourself the trouble and avoid any properties that they manage.
Recently had the pleasure of leasing a property through MPG. Alana’s efficiency, responsiveness and bright bubbly demeanour has made the whole experience such a breeze from start to finish. I couldn’t be more happy with the service I’ve received, thanks Alana!
