Have stayed here before for work and first time was pleasant. This time however my car broke down and I was unable to get to the motel. I called the motel to let know to cancel my booking and I could no longer get there - I was not looking for a refund I just wanted to let them know so they could reallocate the empty room and not worry when I didn’t turn up. I was spoken to very rudely that they could not cancel within 48hrs of reservation which I understood but when trying to explain I was just told on repeat that I could not cancel within 48 hours. This response was pretty terrible considering I was already having the stress of a broken down car and trying to do the right thing by the motel
Pool Deluxe room was exactly what we needed. Very comfortable layout upstairs. Owner was really gracious even though we arrived after reception hours. Walkable to the shops and the restaurants/pubs of Mornington.Rooms: 5/5
So far so good, clean, quiet, comfortable, near amenities shops, bars, restaurants etc also has a small pool for cooling off. Rooms: Clean and air conditioning, what's not to like.
Very clean and cleaned daily on my stay. Roomy too. Nice and handy to everything, I didn't need my car to get to anything really.Rooms: 5/5
I have nothing but good things to say about this accommodation which suited our needs perfectly! The reception staff were lovely, friendly and very accomodating. The manager of this motel is a very rude and bad woman. Once in a school holiday, our family went to mornington, we checked the booking website, they still have 2 bedrooms available that day. Because it was already night, we called them to make sure , this manager answer our call but she said no empty room, my daughter asked her why there was still 2 rooms on booking website, she didn't sound too happy and let us get there directly and reserved two rooms for us, but when we got there, a young man at the reception said they did reserve 2 rooms for usbut after he asked this managerthings changed, the manager came out and said there was no more, she said because my daughter yell to her so she gave our room to someone later than us. In fact, my daughter didn't yell at her at all. My daughter is a 10-year-old girl and her English is better than me, that's why i let her call this motel. My daughter just asked why there's available rooms on the website , but she said no. So the manager played tricks on us, she told us she had reserved 2 rooms for us and when we got there then said no. Luckily we found another motel not far from there, clean and quiet with good service , which made us very satisfied.
We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was able to book us in and out without any hassle. They were lovely and welcoming. Good location. The room was a great size, comfortable, neat and clean. Great for value. Really well managed. Thank you for accommodating us!Rooms: 5/5
It’s not often I write reviews, but I feel like this needs to be written. We stayed at the Mornington Motel over the weekend so that we could have a mini break with the family while enjoying a basketball tournament our daughter was playing in. We stayed for two nights and we all had the worst two nights of sleep we have all had in a long time. I have seen quite a few other reviews mentioning how terrible the mattresses and pillows are, and our family can attest to this. It’s unfortunate that ownership have chosen not to listen to their clientele. For the price, at the very least, I would like to have a good night’s sleep and feel rested. That’s not too much to ask from a motel. We enjoyed the pool area and the service was good, unfortunately this doesn’t make up for the raging headache and body aches I currently have and the family’s overall levels of fatigue as a result of the pretty terrible beds. I hope that ownership reads this and decides to do something about this. Put the comfort of your clients above financial concerns and you will have repeat customers. Unfortunately, when visiting Mornington again, we will not choose the Mornington Motel.
Working in Mornington, my husband stayed here for two nights prior to Australia Day. Whilst being picked up for work early in the morning and returning late afternoon his room had not been made up. This should be done in all motels this is what you pay for. On the positive side the room on arrival was clean and the bed comfortable. For the $$$ paid this is not good enough. Nothing was ever discussed prior to the booking, we booked through an offsite app. Being at work all day would have meant no interaction with cleaning staff. Was never asked if we wanted the room cleaned or not.
After being very disappointed with another motel we had booked and received a refund, we found the Mornington Motel. The lovely man on the front desk was very pleasant and helpful, and gave us a room for the night on short notice. The room was very clean and tidy. The pool was welcoming although a little cold at the time, but we had a swim anyway.
