I had such an amazing experience getting acupuncture/dry needling done at Morningside Acupuncture. I have a lot of tension in my muscles and a strained muscle from my time as college athlete that would constantly bother me while working out. Teddy was outstanding and made sure to explain each step of the process to me so that I could better understand my body, why it feels the way it does, and how acupuncture is going to help it. I highly recommend and will definitely be making regular visits.
I had an awesome experience with Teddy and I would highly recommend him for his professionalism, talent, and genuine care for his clients. He took my concerns seriously and used a combination of dry needling and traditional acupuncture to address my needs. I felt very relaxed the whole time and felt great after just our first session. I had an excellent experience with Teddy! It was my first experience with acupuncture and dry needling. I was a little nervous and he explained everything very calmly and clearly so I knew fully what to expect. Teddy was extremely patient and able to calm down from a series of NYC stresses I came in with. The procedure was completely painless and effective. When I left I was completed relaxed and my muscle tension, which there was much of because I am a triathlete, was released.
I had an amazing acupuncture session with Nick last week! The atmosphere at Morningside Acupuncture is so calming, and I felt very comfortable during my appointment. I had some soreness and tightness from training, and after my session, my muscles felt so much better. I was so happy to know that my acupuncturist Nick runs marathons and has a dance background just like me, and was super knowledgeable about treating runners and dancers! Thank you so much Nick and Morningside Acupuncture! I can't wait for my next session.
Teddy is the best ! Morning side acupuncture is the best! They have the best bedside manner and really listened to my concerns before even starting the session. Once my concerns were heard, they hit all the right spots and introduced how their method of acupuncture helps with my specific muscle issue/tightness. This is a 10/10 highly recommended for any athlete, office worker who has any sort of muscle tightness. 1 session did more than my 3 months in yoga
I had never had acupuncture before coming to Morningside for a post-marathon recovery session. Theodore was thorough in explaining the process and how trigger point acupuncture would likely help to relieve some years long calf and heel pain. After the treatment there were areas that had immediate relief and in the coming days I have noticed less tightness overall. The office is warm and inviting and I would highly recommend it as an adjunct to recovery for all my fellow runners out there.
I've been seeing Teddy at Morningside Acupuncture for the past two months now and I can confidently say that without this work, my body would not be healing as quickly as it is. After straining my hamstring, I knew I needed to find something that dealt directly with the source of the strain. My physical therapist recommended Teddy and I'm so grateful she did. Each week I'm finding more and more mobility and freedom. The dry needling practice leaves me feeling like I just performed a heavy workout, and then immediately the next day offers relief. I was referred to Teddy when I was training for the NYC Marathon after having continued pain and after coming off a major hip injury to the point I could barely walk. Teddy was kind enough to get me in on the same day I was referred. He was thorough in talking me through the concept and steps of dry needling and acupuncture and spoke to me in detail about his thoughts on the pathology after doing a comprehensive evaluation. Through my first session he walked through everything he was doing. At the end of the session he explained what to expect in the coming days and even followed up with me to see how I was feeling. I was shocked at the almost immediate relief I felt. He arranged for a few more sessions with each one being as thorough as the last. On the day of the NYC Marathon I was completely pain-free! So thankful to Teddy and his team at Morningside Acupuncture for their excellent care and cannot say enough about the wonderful care he provides.
Morningside Acupuncture was a great first experience for me. As a soccer player, I always have muscle aches, tightness in hamstrings and after one session of trying out acupuncture, my body felt incredible the days after. Teddy really took the time to target each muscle group and where I was having pain on my body. He did an amazing job and I can’t wait to be back!
I was referred to Morningside Acupuncture by my physical therapist when dealing with a running related injury. I was excited to try it out as I had heard many great things from various athletes in the NYC area. Upon my first visit, Teddy took the time to understand the full scope of my injury and also explain the treatment plan a mix of traditional acupuncture and dry needling and other areas to focus on that are also impacted by the injury. Teddy introduced me to dry needling a highly specialized technique that requires extensive training and thoroughly explained the process and it’s benefits. I quickly started to notice a difference in how my body was healing and responding to physical activity. I felt better able to handle physical stress and demanding training and now consider Morningside Acupuncture not just a critical aspect of my marathon training, but even outside of training blocks, a way to keep my body healthy and injury free.
