"Nestled between historic limestone buildings on the Sorrento foreshore, Morgan’s is the perfect spot for casual dining whilst enjoying Port Phillip Bay, the native Couta boats & the grand ferry making its hourly crossing from Queenscliff. We are thrilled to be included again and awarded a heart in the 2023 Good Food Guide and this season we celebrate a decade of Sorrento Summers with Chef Paul Wilson producing a Mexi-Cali feast – ‘Fiesta en La Playa’.“Mexico has the most misunderstood, underrated, underrepresented cuisine on earth. Paul Wilson brings it all home. Brilliantly.” Anthony BourdainAs the sun goes down, the volume rises and Morgan’s becomes a warm & inviting venue to celebrate the fact that you are in one of the best seaside"

We had dinner here at the al fresco area overlooking the beach. The food was Mexican and the quality of the food was overall good. The ceviche was too sour but flavour wise it was good. Portion size is on the small side. Worth a visit for something different to the usual pub food around the placeFood: 4/5
Solid feed on our travels! Customer service was also lovely & friendly! Only downfall is the burger patty in my burger was a bit tough. I would've liked to see a medium rare or medium patty due to size it needed some juiciness but this one was a bit too overcooked. Overall, the food was nice! I'd come here again!
We chose this place, under the impression that it was Australian cuisine, as displayed on opentable and booked a reservation at 5:00. When we showed up, it was Mexican cuisine and the kitchen wasn’t open for another half hour despite taking our booking with no warning that we couldn’t order. When we were finally received our food, the guac was brown and watery. Every taco dish was about 2 tablespoons of food with no sides and outrageously expensive, especially considering we had to go up to the counter to order. If you like to come hungry and leave hungry and a few hundred bucks short this place is for you. If not, don’t come.
Real bad food quality - corn over cooked, Guacamole was dark as it was not freshly prepared. Kitchen Nightmares- help them with food quality!! Kid-friendliness: High chair
We drove around and found Morgan’s for dinner. Given the current conditions and bookings needed the staff were great getting us four in on a walk in. Staff were friendly, welcoming and funny with a great understanding of the menu and wine list. Venue is beautiful and even at night the outside area is gorgeous. The menu is extensive pretty much catering for every food type. We ordered the tuna carpaccio, the seafood pie for two, the linguine bolognaise and the kids cheese burger. The tuna carpaccio was beautifully presented ans just refreshing and delicious. Make sure you have all of the elements together and it’s a beautiful match of textures, flavours and balance. The kids enjoyed their linguine and cheese burger very big for the regular kid / teen but tasty non the less. The pie for two was delicious packed full of seafood with a light but rich sauce, served with additional sauce and a beautiful creamy mash. Matched all this with the local rosé and it was a delightful night. The only down about the whole meal was the price. Although good food it’s quite pricey for standard meals i.e. $55 for a steak, $30 for half a dozen fresh oysters. But there are some items for everyone at reasonable prices. We will be back though as we want to try the goat cheese tortellini and the ocean trout and maybe those oysters regardless… thanks team.
We each ordered a fish for mains and they were both incredible with amazing and interesting flavoured sides accompanying them. Also ordered the blue cheese salad to share which was huge and we ate everything! Being Melbourne CBD residents we go out a lot and always have something to pick on but this place is faultless. Thank you to the staff for their friendly service and what a great view too.
Good service, helpful friendly staff. Nice location, great that our dog was allowed whilst we dined outside. Food edible, but not as flavorsome as anticipated - missing the fiery Mexican spices.Food: 3/5
Took friends out for lunch nor realising it was now Mexican. Still a beautiful spot and service was pleasant but unfortunately the New Mexican menu means we won’t be back. Small portions with large prices and little of interest on the menu.
Poor quality, no ambiance. Served a mushroom pasta that was inedible. It was sludge. They knew it because it was covered with so much cheese to hide what was underneath. Had two bites then put it aside and ordered the fish and chips average!. No comment about the pasta, just took it away full without asking anything and then charged for it. With all the other quality alternatives around Sorrento, we will not be going back. Unfortunate because we have enjoyed it in the past. You won’t always get it right how you respond to getting it wrong is critical.
it is not real Mexican but the food has good flavour, the prawn tacos where not cooked, the achiote was not prepare properly, they mentioned quesadillas and we were provided with tortillas with salsa not even closer to mole, the menu has Mexican dishes names but not do not correspond with the food that was served. The drinks were well prepared.
