I don’t think they know how to cook Chinese food properly as it’s bland and no flavour ALDIs fried rice taste better and it’s half the price. My suggestion is to check out other Chinese restaurants and see how they cook there food since clearly they lack it or hire a chef that knows how to cook. I would love to see it get better and I would change my review if they tried. Dietary restrictions: Bland food so no need worry about restrictions because no salt or flavour used Runny sauces ie honey and lemon
Thse guys do a great job always friendly and pretty well on the mark with pick up times . I like the food they make . As for everyone winging about lacking in flavour most other places I've tried are full of MSG wich only makes you think it tastes great and isn't good for you. Keep up the good work guys . Vegetarian options: Very happy to customise food to your needs.
This would have to be the most disgusting meal we have ever WASTED our money on. I asked for 4 steamed dim sims we got 4 lots of 3 dim sims so 12 and had to re cook a cpl to eat them. The special fried rice was plain rice with peas carrots and corn, no flavour at all, totally disgusting. The Mongolian combination that I order without seafood came with seafood and I think a jar of sweet and sour sauce poured over the top. Please don’t waste your money there until new staff know how to cook and know how to speak English so they get the order right. Disappointed and giving them a 1 is genuine kind.
Love Moonta Chinese! We have been ordering takeaway from there for years and order enough for 2 nights worth. Food is great and good prices. Fresh, tasty and not loaded with MSG. One of our most favourite Chinese restaurants. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian fried rice
The food is cooked well, we just found it lacking in flavour, other wise nice food, good service.
Avoid at all cost lol special fried rice is real special , white no fried egg no prawns no chicken beef or pork , only grated carrot and some peas n corn , sweet and sour pork is under cooked and looks the same as honey chicken no taste to the sauce at all , go to maccas for a bettter meal my dog would not eat the honey chicken or pork
We just ordered curry chicken with special fried rice. We got garlic chicken omg. The chicken was bland no flavour at all, rice was cold. Never would I waste my money here again. Watery, cold, no flavour.
I ordered Special Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles, Sweet and Sour Pork and Fried Duck with Plum Sauce. The first two are OK and acceptable. But the sauces of the last two are not good. Luckily, all the sauces are served aside with the dishes. The Fried Duck without Sauce is good, while the Pork is not good enough.
Their Sweet & Sour Pork Take-Away was very bland. Just battered meat and the sauce.
Prawn satay was lovely One of the best I've had. Enjoyed all our food, but the satay was the pick of the menu for us. If we come back to Moonta, we'll ve back for more.
