Venue is very spacious and has a unique vibe to it,  there are pool tables, mechanical bull, it’s even fun to just explore all the areas of this building. Cocktails and shots are great, the food selection is decent but there is nothing too exciting unfortunately, the only thing I’d recommend are the fish tacos. Sauce station was full of empty or near empty bottles.

Fantastic new venue and a great addition to the Footscray scene. Enjoyed a delicious beef burger and fries. Design is great and the venue is a lot of fun including the mechanical bull. Live music offered on weekends. Definitely worth a visit - welcome to Footscray Moon Dog.

I went on a Thursday in late May 2024. The service was good, the food came quick and was yum, and I had a great time. I can understand people saying the food prices are a little high, I think it's worth it considering the scale of this venue - It is huge. I think there's something for everyone here.

Visited a week ago for lunch.nnWe knew there were some issues during the opening weekend, but we thought that things may have shaken out after a week or two, and we want to support new local venues.nnUnfortunately, we had a really disappointing experience and one that sounds as though it’s not uncommon.nnThere were 5 of us visiting. We were not warned of any significant delays. There were plenty of spare tables so didn’t expect any.nnThe first meal took exactly one hour to arrive and the last arrived over twenty minutes later, leaving my partner to eat while everyone else had finished.nnEvery single meal was cold and the chicken burgers were diabolical.nnFor such an expensive but basic menu, the service and quality is unacceptable.nnWe might’ve left with a better impression had everything else been ok, but they  ran out of several tap beers and white wine as well. Additionally, whilst the bar staff were pretty friendly, several of the  floor staff - whilst not rude, certainly weren’t notable for their smiling demeanour.nnThe atmosphere was just ok.nnI can’t see us coming back or recommending Moon Dog  to our friends and family without significant improvements. There’s much better local venues with better service, quality, atmosphere, and value for money.nnEdit - the owners have offered a voucher and we’ll give it another go in a couple of months.
