The venue itself is outstanding, if I may say so myself. Nice views. My steak was cooked perfectly rare, as requested. Most of the food is fine. Good but not great. The beers are really good. Great even, and I'm not even much of a beer guy. I've once seen a classic car meet on the back lawn area which is a nice use of the space. I'd like to own a classic car one day - maybe an early model Mercedes or a rotary Mazda. The food really though is just pub food and it's a pretty long wait, long enough to fit in a couple of beers, which is fine, the beers are really quite good.
A lovely, clean modern microbrewery. A nice selection of food on the menu to cater for all types of hunger. The beer! Great selection of beer on tap of their own making and a nice supporting selection of guest taps from other smaller breweries. The owner/head brewer was chatty and really knows the smaller beer scene. Definately a beer place to visit and get none of the mainstream beer flavoured water. All the staff were friendly, helpful and quick to serve or. tidy up. Great value, great experience.
Peace to the fallen and peace to the lost. My mother RIP made food poorly. My father, who still lives, tries, but isn’t great either. So, they have made the worst meals of my life. They have. It’s ok. Monty has made the worst *paid* meal of my life. It started with a bang - no orders for twenty minutes! One and a half hour wait for pub food! The place wasn’t even really at capacity. And then the ribs came. But first, the fries. Soggy, crispy in patches, but lacking in seasoning. Oh, and cold. The salad? I suppose cut lettuce, sliced red onion, and ribbons of cucumber is a salad. But the ribs. Cold. Hard. Chewy. Tough. Tasteless. Salty. Awful. Awful. Awful. For shame Look, the view is nice and I suppose the staff are workers and thus deserve solidarity. But otherwise? Horrible
Wow what a view! There is nothing more relaxing than having a sip of a cold brew overlooking the mountains. Watching the sunset is so peaceful. The staff are friendly & helpful. Food was delicious & very fast getting to the table! I had the woodsman pizza. So delicious, so filling! I think this addition to the Highfields area is just what we needed. Great grass area outside for the kids to run around also. What more do you need?
These guys go above and beyond! Having a daughter with critical illness makes it impossible to attend restaurants and enjoy nice meals. For a special occasion, I requested a 3 course meal as takeaway from Monty: they organised everything online, walked the food to my car and did so exactly on the requested time. The food was incredible, extremely high quality, and they even threw in some extras for us. Very grateful for a business with a heart. Thank you, team.
Monty’s is THE place to have a special event. Not only did they offer to take us in last minute after our initial place cancelled on us for our 21st, but the customer service was phenomenal and the food exceptional. They welcomed us with open arms and allowed my twin and I to have a very special 21st. Thank you to everyone at Monty’s for helping us celebrate our birthday
This was a great place to come for my daughter and son in laws post wedding party. Beautiful location overlooking the mountains and valley below with tables out on the veranda and on the grassed area. So relaxing! Good place to bring the kids as there is plenty of space outdoors for them too. Great selection of food and drinks and great customer service.
Took our pup for lunch like normal people do. We loved Monty Brewing Co! Our girl had chicken pieces, I thought they were delicious and so did she. We had the wagyu and rump, both super delicious. The venue is great, beers are great and the service is outstanding! Thanks so much to the girls that served us, upon arrival one of them brought our pup out a bowl of water, she refilled it when it got knocked over not long after she put it down, they are wonderful and so thoughtful, hats off to them! We will be back.
It was such an amazing experience. The partner and i dont get out much and are country people. Anything that sounds fancy kinda overwhelms us, but we both enjoyed ourselves as soon as we walked in. It felt pub like, but with elegance. The staff are super friendly. Highly recommend.
I Have eaten in on 2 occasions and love the chicken noodle salad dish.. great combination of flavours.. the featured dessert also very yum! as was the buffalo wings.. i love that this is a local restraunt in Highfields and we will be regular customers.. my son highly recomments the wagu beef burger and chips were perfect.. tasty and crispy..
