If you are after great tasting, traditional fish and chips… you have come to the right place. Generous servings combined with great value for money is what Montis is all about. This has been my go to whenever I am in town. The best fish and chips in Gosford. My absolute preference is the Barra… it’s beautiful. This has actually become a family tradition, picking up fish and chips and enjoying a great lunch with my Dad. Cheers Montis… your staff are always happy and enthusiastic to greet the customer and that makes a huge difference. See you next time

I love this awesome central Coast fish and chips shop. We look forward to two families getting together on Fish and Chip Friday and sitting down and enjoying beautiful Fish and Chips together from Monty's. It's always very nice and hot and fresh and we love it. I highly recommend Monty's Ashore to anyone feeling like great quality Fish and Chips at affordable prices.
First visit to Montys & I've been living on the coast for over 20 years, well haven't I been missing out !!!. It was the most delicious fish & chip shop food I've had in 30 years. Everything was cooked absolutely spot to perfection & tasted delicious like fish & chips used to. I will definitely be back. Thanks for an amazing feed.
I really wanted to like this place, its so cute. But the food was awful. The chips tasted like they'd been double fried. Thick and nasty flavour. The fish tasted awful too. The batter wasn't nice. Was just all together not good. But fairly costly.
29th January 2023 was unfortunately Monti's last trading day at the 49 Masons Parade address, due to inability to renew their lease, according to a sign on the door. Hopefully the owners will find another location. There is nothing quite like this, with a pleasant and accessible location, adequate street parking, good basic fish and chips that everyone likes at a reasonable price, and a clean toilet.
Montis is an iconic Gosford landmark and the food is amazing. The family run shop is usually busy but the line moves fast and the staff always make you feel like they’re happy to see you. Thanks choppy and the gang I can taste the chip salt as I write this xoxo
Sorry all ready ate the barramundi, very ordinary place $52 two little pieces of fish 4 x dried up Tasmanian scallops 6 just a little bigger than 50 cent pieces of calamari rings and didn’t get the salad we paid for?? Only good thing is the sweet potato fries.
Fish and chips were lovely. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be coming back.Food: 5/5
