It is an expansive nursing home. It would be fine if ONLY they were caring for their patients. The institution is calling them their clients. The food is abject. There is no compassion in the way the staff is conducting themselves. It might not be entirely their fault as the resignation rate is high. However, the management is clearly out of touch and not doing anything to improve the current state of things. The blame game is the easy way out to shut down the residents. Not good enough !
The nursing home here is expensive but unsatisfactory. There is a generalised lack of humanity. Communication is poor at all levels. Listen to the loved ones of your residents and lift your game!
My grandmother was cared for in the "Sunflowers" unit here in the last weeks of her life. The care she received was incredible and the staff demonstrated their commitment to providing high quality care to the residents. This was so important to our family as we knew she never wanted to be in a "nursing home". She had access to every therapy and resource that she needed to make her last days comfortable and we as a family felt well supported by the Montefiore staff also.
Just had interview but the HR lady was so rude Good luck for the new interviewees.

Montefiore Home is a wonderful aged care facility that caters to the varying needs of independent, assisted-living and dementia-specific residents. It enjoys a great reputation, and is a good employer for staff; especially in the area of education and training opportunities. Rabbi David Rogut OAM tends the spiritual life of the residents at Monte, officiating seder dinners on Pesach and kiddush services every Shabbat. All food served is kosher, prepared impeccably and eaten enthusiastically. The standard of care at Montefiore goes above and beyond, providing clinical excellence and comprehensive emotional support for residents in assisted care, dementia unit and nursing home. Sir Moses Montefiore Jewish Home, simply put, is the best aged care facility in Sydney.
Very nice place for independent, assisted - living and dementia residents. It's good for staff in the area of education and training opportunities. High quality care to the residents by loving staff.
I am sorry for those old people who live in this facility, it is only good looking place. I used to work in this place but unfortunately they don't care about aged people. I fought for their right but i did not get anywhere and i left the place because could not cope with many things. Hope you think twice before you leave your loved ones in there. Good luck.
very nice place , probably might be one of the best nursing home in NSW. if you can afford , i highly recommend montefiore.
Viewed 2 bed and a 3 bedroom apartment, both had great layout's sham the wardrobes where a bit small. Other wise worth visit
