Story

After many years working in the hospitality industry locally, nationally and internationally, the creation of Monsieur Pierre was born in October 2010.
Husband and wife team, Simon & Bec Fenwick, with over 40 years hospitality experience between them, along with their ever faithful and loyal comrade, Pierre, have opened the doors on an exciting concept of production kitchen. Using seasonal, unique produce, an extensive repertoire of recipes and cultural influences, the venture provides catering into the Macedon Ranges for both corporate and social events. Pierre is able to execute a buffet for 100, or unique platters for the office lunch. The retail face of Monsieur Pierre is at at 143 Mollison Street, within a refurbished vintage blue stone butchers shop, transformed into a locals larder of cheeses, charcuterie, pantry essentials, and freshly baked baguettes.
Monsieur Pierre offers ready cooked meals that can be ordered ahead, with portions sizes ample for hungry patrons, presented in take home packs or for a more elegant dinner party, porcelain dishes. The deli cabinet has a rotating selection of favourites, including Salt Baked Salmon, Beef and Vegetarian Lasagne, Red Beef Curry, Vegetarian Wellington with Chestnuts and Sage, Homemade Beef and Bacon Pies, hearty Fish Stew with Pernod, as well as many other Winter Casserole dishes. Salads are always changing with the season, and recent favourites include Eggplant, Israeli Couscous and House preserved Lemon, Potato Salad with Grain Mustard and Crispy Shallots, Roast Winter Vegetables, and Caponata. Our recent selection of Winter soups include Spicy White Bean and Radicchio Soup, Chicken Laksa with Rice Noodles or Cauliflower and Gorgonzola, just to name a few. With the emphasis on seasonal availability, Pierre can provide BBQ packs , with generous cuts of aged sirloin, marinated chicken and local sausages, all on hand for the enthusiastic grill chef. All the accompanying accoutrements will be available, including marinades, salts, butters and sauces.
Monsieur Pierre also offers Allpress coffee from 7.30 am weekdays, and standing at the espresso bar and watching the world go by is a great way to see the locals perspective of Kynetons dynamic and diverse community. Locals and tourists alike are calling in for some of the best coffee in Kyneton.
