We felt that the service was not good. Had a couple of rude interaction with the staff. First when we asked if could sit by the window. Another when they served a wrong item and the person who took order came over to our table and said in an impolite way that we are at fault. We also noticed that they behaved differently to different clients in an obvious way. The items were also bit pricey and the quality didn't justify the price.
Quality doesn’t justify the price. I had the red curry which I have had equally as nice or better plenty of other places and paid less. Service is poor, staff are inattentive - they didn’t bother to tell me when my take away food was ready even though I was seated near them and I waited patiently for half an hour I wasn’t informed you had to keep Going back and checking on it’s status?? didn’t offer or provide cutlery so I had to go back, didn’t ask me if I wanted rice even though the curry came with none. Take your business elsewhere

I was extremely disappointed in my take away order of a vegetable stir fry with tofu the vegetables included undercooked broccoli, carrot and green beans which still had the string attached. The tofu was chewy and very watery and there were little mushrooms which tasted off and looked unappealing. The peanut sauce was good but there was very little of that. I only had a few mouthfuls of the meal the rest I couldn't finish.
We were a group of eight and all of us enjoyed the night. Food was good, staff friendly, no complaints in that regard. The place has a nice atmosphere too, but despite the noise reducers on the ceiling, it gets unpleasantly loud in there when it gets busy.
Monkey King at Newport is a great Thai restaurant. We recently had lunch there and the food was fresh, delicious and at a good price. The service was attentive, friendly and fast. It's conveniently located on Barrenjoey Road, Newport with easy parking. This could easily become our new favourite Thai restaurant in the Northern Beaches.
Our 'go to' Thai Restaurant. I always get the duck cashew nut noodle and spring rolls and my husband loves the curries there. Love that it's fresh tasting and the veggies are perfect, not over cooked.
Great Thai. Friendly staff. Tables can be a little sticky but the food makes up for it. Lunch Special Green Chicken Curry for $5.00 is no longer available. Sad.
Grabbed some chicken satay skewers, tom yum soup, singapore noodles and chili noodles. All were super tasty and fresh, nicely sized and with relatively quick service. Grabbing the bill was quick and easy and our left overs were boxed up even quicker than that! Will definitely come back again.
Ordered a green curry with tofu for lunch - the dish came out stone cold, especially the tofu, as if it had just been taken out of the packet and placed on top of the curry sauce. I told the waitress and she didn't apologize however took the plate and threw it in the microwave. I may as well have bought a frozen ready meal, no other options were given and I still had to pay for the dish.
