We had our lunch here before heading to Puffing Billy Railway. The fish and chips were great and the price was reasonable. You could choose to have the food outside the table or take away. The surrounding area was tranquil and we spent a good time while taking our lunch here.
The batter was thick & tough ..ordering system needs fixing . 3 customers ordered after me .but got their orders first...I only ordered 1 fish 2 pc. & 2 scallops

Potatoes cakes are nice chips can vary here, Jan 20th had spring roll and fish and chips and potatoes cakes today, All overdone, these people try hard but they are just not getting it right, I don't know why ? ,I suspect to many cooks, I think the bloke is in charge, That might be the problem,
Terrible burgers so I tried a fish pack. Must have been 3rd or 4th time cooked. Dry. Tough. Tastless. Go elsewher. Disgraceful
I found this on the way back from mountain bike riding at Silvan and me and my son have enjoyed the "Burger the lot" It really hits the spot.

We were really lucky they were open on a public holiday. The potato cakes were good, large chips were quite generous, and quite possibly the cheapest South Melbourne Market dimmies I have EVER seen @ $1.80 each.
Ordered there tonight in person. Advised 10-15 mins wait all good. Went in at 10 min mark. Noted 6 baskets of cooked food orders hanging above the fryers draining. 15 minutes after the 10-15min expected wait time I asked about my order. Was advised waiting on the grilled fish part of the order. Then received my order and realised my battered fish and our chips had been sitting in a basket above the fryer for the 20 minutes I was seated waiting. Cold battered fish, cold chips and overcooked, dry grilled fish. I eat fish and chips approx once a year as a treat. I like to shop and support local wherever possible but these guys, nope never again. This food went in the bin.
