It was schoolmate Kirk's birthday last Tuesday and I found out about it at sailing on Monday night, so fellow crew mate and I agreed to head on up to Mona to join Kirk at Modus for lunch! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ It's an amazing brewery in the industrial area behind Coles, I fell in love with their Modus Haze - so tasty!! The boys raved about the food and, of course, I had to have the biggest burger they had for the gram haha.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ....⁣⁣⁣ THE BIG M.O. BURGER ⁣⁣⁣ DOUBLE TASSIE BEEF PATTY, DOUBLE CRISPY BACON, TRIPLE AMERICAN CHEDDAR, BACON JAM, HOUSE PICKLES, MODUS PALE ALE ROASTED GARLIC AIOLI⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ...⁣⁣⁣ BEER BATTERED FISH BURGER ⁣⁣⁣ CRISPY MODUS XPA TEMPURA FLATHEAD FISH, BABY COS LETTUCE, TOMATO, HOUSE-MADE TARTARE SAUCE⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ' ...⁣⁣⁣ FREE-RANGE CHICKEN NUGGETS AND CHIPS ⁣⁣⁣ CRUMBED FREE-RANGE CHICKEN NUGGETS WITH CRISPY FRIES, TOMATO SAUCE, & KIDS HOUSE SALAD⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ The Big M.O. Burger is The M.O. Burger pretty much doubled and it was the best burger I have seen in years, it seriously was a work of art, and I was hoping it would be as tasty as it looked. But the two patties were too much beef, the bacon jam and the beer roasted garlic aioli flavour was lost in beef and the patties were overcooked nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooo, I am going to head back and try the single pattie M.O. because a burger this sexy deserves a second chance, and the beer is heaven!!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ !! -.⁣⁣⁣
Best brew crew and cheers to the previous brew crew Nate. Suoer great patrons too. From Adelaide I was able to have a great convincing with anyone who walked in. super great locals. Please know the highest hoppy beer is DIPA, even the hazy DIPA. super good.
Great vibe, service, live music, beers and food. Didn't have a great experience with MO beers in the past the beers, not this venue! but this visit changed everything in a positive way. We had a bit of everything mexican, brewer's lager, session pale and red ipa, also food. They have a guide on ingredients and it was fun to taste all the different elements in every brew we had. Loved the red IPA, Former Tenant, and brought some home. Will need to restock them as they didn't last two days at home. Friendly and professional service, well presented venue, amazing burgers, comfortable sitting and heating, plus live music. Note: beer from the tin is great, but it tastes so much better from the tap. Will have to come back!
The perfect place for a Sunday afternoon lunch and great beers. You can sit amongst the brewery vats eating great modern pubs style food and tasting the excellent range of unique beers.
Drinks and venue are awesome. Food was pretty average. Tried 4 different entree's and everything except the squid was quite bland and boring. Would only go back for drinks
The beer still pretty good in here but unfortunately the chicken wings not as used be and the bathroom wasn’t clean i really enjoyed the beer and the live music there’s a good vibe about this place I still recommend it and hopefully next time I go back they will improve the chicken wings.
Superb Brewery. What a fantastic crew there. Passionate people who love beer. Had a great chat with one of the lads. Fantastic award winning brews. The Red IPA is just out of this world. Will always come back here again whenever in Sydney.
What a fun place. Fantastic beers and great food. These guys are passionate about their business but have plenty of time to talk about the what, where and how of making some of the best beers in Australia. Special beers must be treated and take away options are very good.
Always amazing beer and good food to back that up. Thoroughly enjoy an evening at Modus, have never had a disappointing time there. Great local Northern Beaches brewery
Awesome craft beers, delicious food, good range of beers, friendly staff and a tranquil spot. Accessible for those on the Northern Beaches and North Shore, both for cars and buses near the B-Line bus stop at Mona Vale and connections with the 197 Forest buses.
