I was there to pick up my dog from the pound and had to ask the recepetion staff at the front desk multiple times for the directions to the local dog pound as i was not a local. They gave me a shitty little unreadable map that was just just visible which is not good enough for visitors or people with poor eye sight. They were all nice when i paid my fees but once done they could not give a shit and fobbed me off. My advise is don't bother stopping at Broadford and keep driving as towns with kind of attitude don't deserve your patronage.

No support from council staff. If any urgent request, mostly they are close or the person who is after hour don’t have access to do required task. Other than, the charges are quite high but no road safety. Everywhere on road, there are big potholes. Nature-strips are overgrown in public area. Suburbs are great but council doesn’t do what we pay for.

Rang to ask Customer Service whether there’s a bin collection where we’re looking to buy, and was asked name, address, number, and email .nWas told will be put through to that department.nWhat, Customer Service don’t even know if they have bin collections? What good are they then?nThey’re the only Council CS that know nothing and put you through to someone else. Which they didn’t because it was busy and someone had to call back, but didn’t anyway ‍.nSeriously?

Hands down one of the worst councils I have dealt with in all of Australia.nIssued a Rates Notice on 26 July 24.nRe-issued a supplementary notice on 4 Sept 24 with a higher amount.nPaid the 1st installment by 30 Sep 24.nReceived a installment notice on 22 Oct 24 incorrectly stating that the 1st installment was partially underpaid and then showing amended remaining 3 installments.nWas on the phone for ages sorting this out.nTold it was a system issue.

Worst council - periodnn$2k a year rates for FAR below average services, we are being robbed BLIND. We rate payers are lining their pockets and paying the wages of useless workers to sit in the office and listen to us complain while doing nothing about it.nnRoads are absolutely trashed and have cost well over $1000 in damages to both our vechiles yet the council have a “threshold of $1640” for damages they have cost so if anything is below that they wont pay, yet the damage was caused on their unroadworthy roads while driving a road worthy carnnThe rubbish tip is an absolute rip off, charge $50 for a dual cab ute tub full of green waste WTF!!!!! no wonder everyone just dumps their rubbish in the back roads and in plain sight as to mow your laws it costs $50 a fortnight roughly and you have to go to the tip - yes the new bins are coming and i am going to assume the council will up our rates yet again for this “deluxe” service thats standard for most of Melbourne for years….nnThe council take absolutely no responsibility for anything but are quick to grab money - i wouldnt mind paying $2000 a year in rates IF I ACTUALLY GOT GOOD VALUE/SERVICES FOR IT. Everyone keeps blindly paying and they will continue to blindly pay till we are the most expensive in Victoria with the worst servicesnnIf the council doesnt start helping our community which is their job us residents will not be paying our rates and start invoicing for all the constant damages done on the roads to our vehicles
