The food is excellent. However, it is one of the priciest restaurants in town. If you are coming here. Go sign up for the casino card to get some discount even if you don’t play casino. Roast duck here is excellent. Better than most places I know. Something to consider, this is a fine dining restaurant, if you just want drunk Chinese food there are many better place in town for that Tips for ordering and eating: Soft shell crab and prawn spring rolls are excellent I would skip the Siu Mai, I had better at plenty of places. Duck : yes, you can order the duck dish with bones. Some people like it. HOWEVER, it is strongly recommend that you DO NOT do that here. The Kanziang prawn is salty, the bean and lettuce is not just for decoration. If you don’t like veggies, eat them with plain rice or less salty fried rice like miss song fried rice. Unless you really like lobster, it’s a lot of work … it’s also very VERY expensive. Complaints: Service is not that great for a fine dining restaurant. Lots of waiters / waitresses working but so difficult to get their attention. No auto refill or water, no asking when I’m finishing my drink if I want another one. Drinks also take forever to arrive. If the food is not great I wouldn’t rate this restaurant anywhere close to 4/5 stars.
We had an amazing night at Miss Songs last night. Our table of 5 was well looked after with regular service in a friendly and relaxed manner. Our order included duck pancakes, quite a few dumplings, signature fried rice and our favourite the Mongolian Lamb served on a sizzling plate. We can’t wait to return! Thanks for a sensational night Miss Songs.
Great restaurant. Expansive menu and reasonable wine list but not many wines by the glass. I recommend the sashimi and the duck pancakes!
The food was amazing! Highly recommend the duck banquet - every dish complemented the duck perfectly and there was still plenty of food left over! You will not go home hungry! Every dish was delicious but the highlight was the duck pancakes and the soup best soup I've ever had! The waiters were polite and attentive -- it was easy to order more drinks. The tables are a bit small for all the food so it's a more intimate setting and the ambience was nice and surprisingly, energetic at times. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants for Asian food. Looking forward to the next visit here.
We booked a table of 6. 3 ordered banquets and 3 chose entrees and mains. The first problem was that the individual orders kept being delivered to the banquet diners which could have been awkward. The scallop and prawn San Choy Bow was tasty. My Seafood Supreme was served in a white tasteless gravy - I understand that the seafood flavour shouldn’t be overpowered but the flavourless sauce was redundant. There was lots of food leftovers including a bowl of special fried rice that staff would not pack so we could take it home and eat it. When Food Waste is such a global issue it’s time Miss Songs recognised they have a role to play - and no it is not “against health regulations”. Overall disappointing
Decided to go here for my wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was great initially, nice and romantic with great views. The table beside us wanted to rearrange their seating plan so they approached the staff and got a chair. The back of this gentleman's chair was now running <15cm parallel to our table. We got the Duck banquet, The first 2 dishes were very nice giving high hopes for the night. The Peking duck pancakes were a letdown, our 'pankcakes' aka tortilla's were ripped and the bottom two had a significantly different texture to the top 2. Our 4th course the soup was significantly delayed and was brought out at the same time as the chow mein. I have had better chow mein's in outback pubs and the soup resembled more of a pie filling. Glass 300 ml coke bottles at $10 a piece when the cocktails are $19 is a rought. Overall the experience left us disappointed. For the price tag of $180 for 2 you are hoping for an amazing experience that becomes a memory, the only memory that has been made is to not go back in a hurry.
In the past month - over the Festive time of the year - we have dined at Miss Songs on two occasions. On both occasions - we were over joyed with the deliciousness of the food and the surroundings. However, we also want to recognise the wonderful staff who interacted with us helpfully. A Trainee Dean displayed service skills beyond his "trainee" badge, along with many others. As local business owners, we understand staffing shortages since the pandemic. Miss Songs - we know we are going to be in wonderful hands when we come to feast on your delicious food !
My partner and I came here for date night. We sat on a table overlooking the pool. Cocktails we had Coco Colada i had the Amaretto Sour both drinks were delicious and well presented Coco Colada had a bit too much coconut shavings on top. Food we tried Entrees Porkbelly we we're not fans it was greasy some pieces where nice but no taste of 5 spice. I would remove and change to pork belly slices wok fried Salt & Pepper calamari was beautiful well seasoned good serving. Duck steam buns bland just had a little spicy taste. But the buns themself light and fluffy how they should be. Mains Sweet and Sour Pork recommended by the waiter and it did not dissapoint the sauce was the best I've had beautiful pieces of pork. Wok fried scallops had so much flavour would highly recommend Miss songs fried rice scallop was undercooked needed to be a bit more seasoned. The table lighting was cute and different but not bright enough felt like i was Harry Potter trecking through a menu. Our waiter was funny great communication followed up on how our meals were. He is the kind of waiter you want for your business. Being used to restaurants at Crown Melbourne this place has so much room for potential Would come back
Completely overpriced and underwhelming food this here is their “pork Belly” which was greasy battered pieces of something nondescript. The whole experience was entirely under whelming the waitresses were not attentive and I had to wait over half an hour for my drink to arrive. When I complained that the pork belly was not as described the manager there said well since you ate some of it we can’t refund it. That wasn’t the point this place was so average I would have had a better meal getting a frozen meal. I will not be returning here again. Poor service average food please avoid at all costs. The food is supposed to be fusion but it’s cheaply put together average quality ingredients. And the worst “pork belly”I have ever tried. If they do not improve the quality of food this place will be on its way out.
Service is sloppy. They rush the food out and don't make sure the dishes are given to the right customer. They also don't make sure everyone has a meal. We had to ask where the last meal was. Turns out the servers messed up and gave 1 of our dishes to people with the Banquet. 5 small lamb ribs and nothing else with them for $40 is a rip off. Food was good but not worth the price. Definitely not 5 Star
