Very quirky and very cosy place to be. The inside looks like an old western saloon with a tad more class. the decor was everywhere yet it jelled. The service was very attentive from the staff and helpful as well. We tried the 1/2 kg pork ribs and barramundi. The pork ribs was slathered in some sort of burbon burbon mix Me thinks. Unfortunately it was slightly dry and a bit tasteless for my tastes. The barramundi on the other hand was impeccable, nice, moist and well presented with salads and garnishing on the plate. It was so delicious that the skin was eaten. The highlight of the evening was the desert, the brownie with ice cream. It may of caused diabetus but it was totally worth it. That gooey goodness and the taste of partially burnt caramelized brownie was to die for.
hmmm ok reviews on google are great, but we didn't really enjoy it. went for dinner for 6, very cool place with american style food. i was quite shocked at the price, like $38 for steak i'd consider fine dining standard. ribs were pretty disappointing plenty of sauce but we didn't find it that tasty. service was pretty slow on the night and not very friendly. maybe it was an off night, or maybe good for something different.
Second time here, food is great, size is very good for semi tapas style. Poutine is very good considering they aren't allowed to do proper cheese curds.
Country style decoration restaurant, food taste good, service ok, price high.
Another lovely dinner with my wife. The wagu steak was amazing. Sweet Potato salad was delicious. Hazelnut and Macadamia Tart? Yum!
A very cool menu and some delicious food.
Good place for a meal, drink and to catch up with friends. Food is generously portioned and North American in style. Sides can definitely be shared with 3 to 4 people. Smokey pulled pork burger is particularly good. Good drinks list with well made cocktails. Casual atmosphere. Would eat again.
Terrible food! Service was lovely however the food is less than ordinary. Well done steak is not supposed to be cremated and chewy. The burgers are plain awful. Served on what seemed to be Coles bread rolls, they were so disappointing. The chips appear to be cooked in huge batches, rather than made to order, as they were all soggy and wilted. Not to mention having to wait over an hour for our main meals. Not worth the visit at all.
The pricing of the dishes,was a bit steep. The Mrs and son wanted scotch fillet steak,so we ordered 2 of those and I ordered the Barramundi. To my thinking the steak should have been served with the baked potatoes and the barramundi should have been served with the hand cut chips,so I had to eat from my wife's plate and she ate from mine? The serving size was a lot smaller than what we experienced at Penny gardens a few weeks ago too. Place was deserted of people,yet when we left and walked past the business next door they had about 20 people in a small area and it looked like they were more popular than Miss Kitty's on a Sunday night!
Great for mains and savoury options - these are good to very good. It missed it on five stars for a couple of reasons: 1. On a busy night the front of house struggles to keep up. And 2. The desert options are very limited and what I have had wasn't that great. A good local dinner and drinks venue. End your night at the end of your mains and all will be good.
