Story

Our burgers are big and made for enjoyment. We offer cocktails, beer towers and a range of milkshakes/spiders as our venues are full licensed. Miss Kay's is a bistro style where you order food and drinks at the bar, with walk-ins only (No Bookings). As we are very busy and have lines most nights at both our venues we currently do not take phone orders, however customers can order in-house takeaway.

Great venue for large groups or those with dogs. We went mid week and they were fairly quiet so we were able to order and eat relatively quickly. There were two staff on that night and they were friendly. We had our dog with us for the first time and they brought out a bowl of water for her and we’re accomodating. The menu is either chips, burgers or wings. So if you don’t want those three things you won’t be happy. They don’t have a kids menu but we were directed to order the adults nuggets and chips for the kids as the most suitable. We enjoyed their $1 wings night. The buffalo sauce was our favourite. We love spicy but their hot sauce didn’t fit well with the chicken. We had these small bites that were yummy too Parking: We went mid week and found ample parking on the street. I would imagine at busier times it would be congested however it’s free street parking and a flat area so not hard to walk. Kid-friendliness: Staff are friendly and the venue is ok to take kids however there isn’t a kids menu so unless they want nuggets and chips you’re only other option is to get a BIG burger for them Wheelchair accessibility: Venue is right off the street with wide entrances and loads of space between tables.
Waited nearly an hour for drinks and food. Got served raw chicken. Manager didn't care. Pretty much sums it up.Food: 1/5
Extremely underwhelming, overpriced and disappointing experience. We had ordered a side of onion rings, fries, popcorn chicken and 2 burgers. We had waited 45 minutes for the food to come out, considering there weren’t many customers in the restaurant at 530pm. When the food arrived, the side of popcorn chicken which was $10.50 came in a small paper cup enough to fit a scoop of gelato. The onion rings burnt and fries cold. The chilli Hendriks chicken burger valued at $16 had a grilled chicken thigh smaller than the bun itself. It was thin and very dry. It was requested that there be no tomato, however, a slice of tomato came out with the burger. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
I’m sorry but it was easy the worst burger I’ve ever had, the bun was old the patty tasted like a dirty grill, the burger was dry I couldn’t finish it! The chips they were good but definitely will never go back! And it’s sad because it was empty so i felt bad and thought I would try it!Food: 1/5
Something has changed in the culture or this place. We’ve been going since they opened this location, always loved it, but it has gone way downhill in recent months. New ownership? Tonight will be our last visit. Chips and nuggets for the kids, milkshakes, and the 1 kg of wings with some dipping sauces. The food took FOREVER. No water out for self service, but big stacks of drinking glasses. When I asked for water, was met with attitude. Board games used to be a drawcard for the kids, the place is a shambles, mess everywhere, and had clearly been for ages. No chance of being able to make sense of the jumble of games. Staff are very leisurely, watched my husband try to pick through and tidy up the games. They put a movie on, and were watching that while on shift. No biggie except for the people waiting for the food, and the water that was unavailable, and the games area unusable. Twice I went to the counter and had to wait for staff who had gone around to the back and were taking video of themselves eating chicken wings and uploading to their socials. I am not exaggerating. Food was bleh. Chips were cold, milkshakes were hot ???, and half the chicken wings were seriously pink on the bone, couldn’t stomach them. And what is this stuff in the picture? It was labeled as chipotle mayo, but it was a waxy solid. Gross. Poor, seriously poor. I have seen the replies from Miss Kay management saying sorry and please email if we want to leave more feedback. I reckon maybe you’ve got enough feedback and you should actually do something now.
good place and good food I came on Monday morning. It was very busy and still got my food in 15 minutes that Indian guy makes a very good and fast burger will come again. Never seen workers like him.Food: 5/5
Been going here every few months since it opened and been reasonably happy, however it seems like its gone down hill pretty drastically. Just picked up a take away order of 3 cheese burgers and poutine fries, each burger was overcooked to where the buns were burnt and the meat was charcoal in parts. The poutine is like a hate crime against Canadians. 2 table spoons of gravy at best, and it ended up the best item of the order. I called up to give them the heads up but was met with indifference. Disappointed.
The burgers actually were really good and representing American diner pretty much but a bit disappointed with what they called Poutine as it feels a bit different on how they present the cheese curds was not the same as how it is in Canada. Meanwhile love the chicken burger and the beef one, forgot what it’s called. Might come back again trying different dishes
Unfortunately can not say I am not happy with my last experience. Ordered a pick up meal over the phone, 4 burgers and chips with some wings. Picked up the meals 30mins later, got home checked the food and received 4 chips and 2 burgers.... then rang up to tell them the mistake and we are coming back to get the 2 missed burgers to be told they are really busy but will make them up now.... well that was a lie. We waited 30 minutes for the 2 burgers, only yo get home to the cold chips and wings. HOW DISAPPOINTING. At no point of time did they offer when we were waiting the second time in store for a refund or any compensation for now the cold food at home or their mistake. To summarise this experience in one word. POOR. Add: we placed the original order at 5:30pm and its now 7pm. And the missed two burgers are cold.
Used to love going here and would eat their burgers regularly, but definitely won't be going back again. Both of us are sick from it. My chicken burger was burnt and tasteless and missing some of the ingredients. Not sure if they've changed their MK sauce but I used to love it and now it's flavourless. The guy behind the counter had no idea what was going on. Would recommend people go elsewhere.
