Great little find in the heart of Umina. Our table shared a few dishes and enjoyed them all. A few favourites included the chicken karage, veg gyoza and mixed tempura plate and fresh sushi rolls. A good drinks menu of both local and traditional options. The Japanese plum wine was sweet and tasty. Recommend booking, even on weeknights as it gets quite busy.
Very nice little Japanese restaurant in Umina. The food was well proportioned and tasty and the plum wine was nice although sweet as sherry. My favourite dish was the unagidon eel and rice I also had the Japanese curry that was good although not the best I’ve ever had. The kaarage chicken was delicious. Yakiniku was good too. Overall recommended.
Hard to find quality japanese on the coast that also has great veggie options. The udon soup, veggie tempura and veggie gyoza are all amazing. Prices are decent too, one of my fav restaurants for an easy but delicious dinner :
The taste was good and the cost performances was not bad. I recommend the Plum wine and Omakase for couple.
I have been here twice and the food is all excellent. The omakase was great value and came with a generous amount of sushi and sashimi.
We had a lovely lunch for 3 on arrival in the local area. Traditional looking restaurant, lots of classic choices on the menu and lunch specials. Our food was quickly served and of good quality. Staff were kind and welcoming. We would happily reccomeded to others.
Insanely good Japanese food, we've had take-away so many times and it's always so tasty and really beautifully laid out. 5 stars!
What a little gem! Authentic, fresh and beautiful Japanese food. The beef tataki melted in your mouth and the sushi and sashimi was incredibly fresh and great quality. We enjoyed every mouthful and will be back.
Wanted to try this Japanese restaurant out as the previous day when walking it was packed out. I can't see why. First of all, had to constantly call on the waitress, she never actually came to check on us. Never gave us napkins, needed utensils, wanted to order, and wanted the bill. Food was okay, we've had much better in Sydney and in the local malls. The rolls are quite expensive, and the Bento Box even for a lunch special was only $1 savings than the regular serve. Kinda disappointed- sorry.
This is a Must Try restaurant. The food here is absolutely delectable. Their Curry Rice w/ chicken katsu and entire Cooked Roll selection is impeccable. The staff is amazing and they give the place a real family feel. Will be coming back here again and again. 10/10.
