I am having a frustrating experience with Mimosa Home Builders. I started dealing with them in March, six months ago, and it's been a nightmare.nnFrom the outset, Mimosa Home Builders promised a smooth and transparent process. However, their actions have fallen woefully short. Despite charging me for detailed drawings, I've yet to receive them. It's unacceptable that they're withholding crucial documentation, making it impossible for me to verify the project's specifications.nnTo add insult to injury, they've pressured me into signing colour documents and variations forms without providing the corresponding drawings. This lack of transparency raises serious concerns about their trustworthiness.nnThe delays in paperwork have been considerable, and I'm starting to feel stuck. The constant stalling and lack of communication have eroded my confidence in Mimosa Home Builders.nnI hope Mimosa Home Builders takes my feedback seriously and addresses these concerns. We have now been living in our new home Saba 250 for 3 weeks and loving everything about it. We had a few delays but nothing to drastic. The end results have really been worth the wait. We feel our home has been built to quality standards and is exactly what we envisioned from the start. Overall, we had a great experience building with Mimosa and wouldn't hesitate to build with them again.
We recently built our home with Mimosa home. We had very good experience. Very good customer service. Very professional and built was as per plans. All The work was very well finished. We are so happy with the smooth ride from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who is thinking to build a new house.
Since the build with in two months there were issues with ceiling cracks and they fixed it saying house movements … then the cracks re-appeared again same reason fyi :concreting around the house done on day 3 .. however 18 months back there were cracks again in different places. They inspected after 3 months and suggested moisture around the house, So I organised someone to do patching work by putting agipipe etc the and informed them … again yesterday again inspected and now they are suggesting to redo the entire concreting as there was not enough fall in few places and that is the only reason for the ceiling cracks ….. I know many here had this same issues with cracks … pics are below for reference
I have previously written 2, 5 star reviews for Mimosa Homes on product review due to the great experience we have had. However things have gone pear shaped in the last 6 weeks. I have deleted my previous 5 start review here on google so everyone is aware of how we have been treated. Our construction started back in Feb 2024 when the slab was poured and things were progressing really well. We used to have regular on site meetings with the site supervisor and we were kept updated with all the progress. Since July our house is basically stuck with no real progress. We have been lied to each time about things that will progress the following week only to find out nothing has happened. I tried to book meetings with the site supervisor and the appointments were not kept. Our colorbond roof is damaged and the garage colorbond sheet was missing for 3 months and all the paint and ceiling has mould on it. The color bond over the garage and back alfresco is so dirty from the render work. The scaffolding is still there after many months. VBA inspected our site and failed the inspection due to substandard work. The front pillar is still open and all the water has gone through it with mould every where. I was told this week tiles will begin only find out nothing has progressed. I sent an escalated message to our site supervisor and he told me that he has resigned and this will be handed over to a new supervisor. It is so interesting that a person can resign leaving behind a mess for others to deal with. At the end of the day it is our money and to receive a service like this is beyond a joke. The worst is that the portal keeps getting updated with completed jobs and nothing has happened on site, no photos uploaded either. I was told that we should get close to handover in September and I don’t think this will happen. Mimosa this is a wake up call for you that a 5 star review can drop to 1 star in the blink of an eye. I previously said in my last review that we will use Mimosa again and recommend them to friends, but fast forward a few months and I can very confidently say I will stay well clear of Mimosa and ask everyone to do the same. The disappointment is beyond a joke. I really hope this gets to the top management of Mimosa so they know first hand how their customers are being treated.
