I have been going to Mimi nails for the past 2 years now and I have never once left disappointed. Every time I go into the salon I am greeted warmly, and made to feel like an important person to them. I always come in with a somewhat difficult design and they always provide the best service and excellent professionalism. All the staff are lovely and they handle my nails with care, they take their time even when In the midst of a Xmas rush. Please please please for the love of your nails go to this salon! Best in Adelaide by far
Absolutely horrible, everyone hypes this place up yet I’ve been getting my nails done for over 7 years now, all over the world, and I have never experienced anything like this. My friend and I attended this salon on Sunday afternoon around 3pm. First of, my experience, I walked in with SNS on my nails and wanted a refill along a pedicure, I was repeatedly pushed to choose a colour, although I do only been sitting in the chair for a grand total of two minutes, the guy continuously kept coming back, harassing both my friend, and I to choose a colour. The girl covered my hands and nails in acetone in order to remove the S&S, the acetone dripped down onto my hands and onto my arm. I have never had the experience where the acetone have sat on my nails for longer than 20 minutes, I kept waiting for her to take off, and she did not. Around the 40 minute mark when she was almost done with my toenails, I kindly asked the lady to remove it as my fingers were burning and just before she was about to start removing it the guy came over and said “ why are you doing that, we don’t usually do that over here”. In which my friend replied “ yeah and that’s usually fine but my friends fingers feel like they’re on fire”. He then sighed loudly and abruptly exclaimed to his language to the girl. Finally they were taken off, it’s an hour and a half later and my fingers are still burning from the acetone, an experience I have never had. As for my friends experience, don’t even get me started. She was given a stack of colours to choose from why the guy repeatedly kept coming over and ask if she chosen a colour yet, as one who frequents a nail salon will know, choosing a colour is hard. 25 mins later she’s still browsing but no one has started on her toes, she’s confused and asks why as people are free. Basically as she hasn’t chosen a colour yet they decided not to start the pedicure process? We paid and left, we both decided on not getting our acrylics done as the pedicure process was a disaster and we felt unwelcome, pressured and confused about the whole situation. Once arriving at my car, we examined my friends toes, they were covered in paint, her two big toes were filed completely wrong. It was so disgustingly bad we decided to go back and ask if they could refund it. Arriving back in the store we were greeted horribly, while explaining the situation to man, all the staff who work there decided to jump in all yelling at each and us, while gesturing to the two of us. They offered to fix it but the staff were so unwelcoming we asked for a refund. While asking for a refund two of the ladies in particular got louder and started yelling at the man, and gesturing quite aggressively. We were offered a full refund, which was then redacted as the the women staff were yelling, we received a partial refund. There were no apologies, no caring for customer satisfaction, nothing. Rude, inconsistent and inconsiderate. DO NOT GO HERE.
I’ve been to MiMis a few times and have always left a happy customer. They did an amazing job with my halloween nails, I couldn’t have been happier with them. They always take the time needed when it comes to designs. Will be back again soon. Thank you so much! Love your workServices: Manicure
I think it depends who you get here. My pedicure took a long time so much so, I had to skip getting a manicure or toenails painted, and the quality of cuticles, exfoliating, filing, etc. was not worth it! The lady next to me looked like she got a great pedicure and in 1/2 the time.
Possibly the worst manicure I have had the misfortune of sitting through. I was recommended from a work colleague, so thought I would give this business a try, as a local retailer, I do like to be able to recommend other Jetty Rd services to my customers, but the attitude, sloppy application and price has deterred me from ever going back again, or recommending. I was basically scolded when I commented on a rough/uneven finish on a nail, and after 1 day of application regular nail polish, they have chipped and literally started peeling. I know not to expect regular nail enamel to last…..but 1 day!!! There is no reason for this to occur, except for poor, rushed application/product. I have spent years dealing with Acrylic/SNS/Shellac, so this is not my first exposure to salons, just very disappointed with the total experience and finished product.Service: Manicure
Had just come to this nail salon, have been here multiple times before and never had a problem, had asked for JUST shellac on my toes and that was it. Nothing else was done just the polish on my toes and I was charged a full $35 dollars for the service which included a “ shape, buff and shellac “ which I only got the shellac. Then continued to argue with me at the counter. They were extremely rude and loud. Saying that I was in the wrong and had to pay for the whole thing. Never once have I had this problem. I definitely will not be back.
Terrible place, terrible service. Never been spoken to so rudely. They told me after they stuck acrylics on and saw a photo of what I wanted that it was $95. The lady told me “obviously you’ve never had your nails done before”. She then told me I should leave as they don’t have time for me despite already gluing acrylic nails on. I was spoken to so rudely by two of the staff who raised their voices in front of the other customers and made me feel embarrassed.
