Coffee was really good and smoothie was refreshing. There are a lot of smoothies to pick from on the menu. Eggs Benedict were good, didn't enjoy the omelette though so I won't order that again. It was overcooked on the outside and I think bacon goes better in an omelette than ham. Food and drinks came out quick, we were there at 9am on a weekend and it wasn't too busy, but when 10am hit it got super busy! Very popular. Lots of goodies to choose from in the glass cabinet too.
Came here for the all you can eat pancakes as I'm a pancake addict. It didn't disappoint the pancakes were fluffy not doughy like most the size they were. I got halfway through a second serve I would definitely return.. Customer service was great very friendly staff.
I ordered the smashed avo, with a hashbrown and mushrooms added on. The add ons were $4.5 each, a bit steep...but I love mushrooms. Unfortunately, when my food arrived there was only 1 mushroom, 1 single mushroom that cost $4.5. My whole meal cost over $30, I was disappointed because this place was once great. Coffee was good.
Did a search on gluten free dining in Townsville and this cafe come up. Arrived just after 12pm today 11/11/2022 to be total rudely and abruptly that orders were to be in by 12:45pm as the place was closing due to ceiling repairs. When asked what was gluten free on the menu as it showed none and was told gluten friendly. Maybe don’t put your cafe as gluten free and put a sign up at the door not inside on a chalk board advising of closure in future. Glad we didn’t waste our money or time in this place.
To start with.. 3 stars?? I was in two minds with this one. If it wasn't for the good food I would have given it 2 stars. A little advice for business owners and their staff.. If you're advertised closing time is 4pm then stay open until 4pm. The first day I went there it was 3.15pm and all the tables and chairs were stacked up and the a-frame boards placed inside the shop. From where I was standing the shop was not open for business as the staff member was obviously not wanting customers. The second day I went there it was 3pm. Again the outdoor tables and chairs were being packed up. The staff member did not acknowledge us and had to be asked if they were still open. No friendly greeting, no smiles, nothing. I got the feeling customers were an inconvenience, so I'm really sorry for buying from you and upsetting you. I really didn't mean to. The food and drinks we ordered were put into takeaway containers even though we sat ourselves at a table upon arriving, so I guess that was a hint to leave. The third time we went there yes, I know. Why, is the question you're asking. I'm always the optimist maybe. was in the morning so I thought we would be OK. But no. No greeting, no smiles, no friendly manner. Honestly, if you don't like your job then do everyone a favour and leave. My god. How hard is it to smile. A simple good morning would have worked wonders, but no. And I did say the food was good, and it was. A little pricey but good. To the shop owners. Are you aware of all of this with your staff. They really need to be schooled in customer service or else you will end up losing customers.
Have been wanting to visit our local cafe for months. Finally had the opportunity 25/11 with hubby and our toddler. Place was quiet and at first seems lovely but once you look closely it is a different story. Table was not wiped down properly. Cushions were dirty!! I don't think they have ever been washed. Service was atrocious. Only one young server was friendly, smiled and greeted us nicely. The others were sullen and rude. Hubby had to ask again what was in the loaded croissants as he forgot lol and the server he asked actually said to him that the other server had already told him what the fillings were!! He replied that it was for my benefit and she turned and looked at me and said I think its spinach and mushroom, and bacon and egg in another. Geez sorry for being a waste of your time spending my money in your cafe I could tolerate bad service if the food is amazing which it most certainly is not at this cafe. Coffee was burnt!! I wish I had read reviews before going as I would have stayed away because if as a cafe you cannot even get coffee right that's a worry. The loaded croissants were loaded with tasteless eggs, dry large mushrooms and wilted spinach. It had not an ounce of taste. No seasoning no sauce etc. The was a little melted cheese under the egg which was the only palatable part. Yes it was only $10 but I would have been happier with a croissant half the size and made with care and actually edible. We will not be returning and I will be sure to spread the word and save my fellow locals the pain of dining here.
Very disappointed, forgetting to bring your order out to you now on two separate occasions now, getting the order incorrect not once, but again now on two separate occasions and refusing to make at milk shake at 1500 hrs, when they close at 1600 hours today. Less focus on cleaning to get out early and more focus on your customers would improve your business. Won’t be going back…. Not worth the hassle! That’s your three strikes.
It's ok, they should label their cabinet food to avoid confusion and make things clearer to the customer. The coffee was decent and staff friendly enough. The Turkish bread seemed a bit stale, staff were polite and friendly.Food: 1/5
I will never come back to Millie J & Co again. The customer service we experienced was not up to any standard. As we approached the counter and my girlfriend asked to have a pasty and if a salad could added to it. The worker reminded us they closed in half hour but her delivery was very plain rude. My girlfriend said we are not eating here and we turned to walk away, when the lady behind the counter insisted were we sure we wanted to leave and there was a full menu to choose from. After saying then saying no thank you, we left. Very disappointed.
Food was amazing, service was painful, having to wait ages just to be served. One set of tables was dirty when we walked in and still had dirty dishes on it nearly 2 hours later. Water bottle and glasses on our table were filthy. Stars are for the food only but was totally let down by the rest.
