We had our engagement party here last night and it was amazing! Great location, amazing views, indoor and outdoor areas. Grazing platters and pizzas with gluten free options were excellent. Thank you again! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza
Lovely family friendly cafe on Lara. Went on a busy sunday afternoon. Located on what seems to be a newer estate, large playground right at the front for kids and close enough so parents could supervise if they were sitting outside. Small lake located on the other side of building. Would be a popular spot I'd imagine on good weather days. Got seated pretty much straight away. The menu is online but they come around to take your order. Friend had veggie panini, which was $16 and I had steak sandwich, which came with generous serving of chips! Coffee also great here. Just 10 minutes away from the You Yang's Regional Park- we went for a wander and then ended up at Millars for lunch. Good day out!
Nicest chicken burger I’ve had in a long time! The salmon bowl was also very good.Food: 5/5
Beautiful surroundings especially if you prefer dining outdoor. We arrived around 11.30am and lunch menu wasn't ready to be served, so I ordered an egg omelette along with cappuccino. I would prefer my omelette to be moist and fluffy.
Great place for brunch/lunch for families with young kids. Decent food, bright and casual interior, very nice location, parking area available right in front of cafe. Love that there are two kids play areas just next to the cafe - one for older kids, one for toddlers. Both areas are fenced up separately, both with good variety of play equipment. There is also a covered BBQ area right next to the cafe. Would be happy to visit Millars again. The only dislike is that "The Fry Up" breakfast portion is slightly smaller than expected. Had to order extra food as it wasn't enough for us.
Excellent food, reasonable prices, absolutely fantastic service. I had the beef burger, which was one of the best I have had in Melbourne. The tropical smoothie was to die for! Coffee was excellent as well, and the brownies were scrumptious.
Came past for some breakfast at 11:40am, got told that breakfast finished at 11:30am and lunch didn't start until 12pm. For the 20mins to wait there was precooked selections and sandwiches in a display fridge which tasted old, warm and just yuck. Staff were rude and with only 2 staff on, they seemed to be way more interested in talking to each other then to serve their customers. Coffee was average and when asked for some sugar, it took 10 minutes to get it even though not busy at all. I finished my coffee without sugar in the end. Shocking place. Don't bother visiting unless you want to be glared at for asking to be served. Save time and take yourself to McDonald's, you'll get better and some sugar for your coffee. Some sugary-service would go a long way. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options that tasted like cardboard brownies with a sprinkle of baking soda.
Thank you so much Scott and staff. We booked for approximately 20 of us and 18 beagles. The varendah at the back was solely for us and we were so greatful. It's not easy having to book a restaurant where you have 18 beagles, everytime they saw a dog of a different breed the beagles would howl and bark. A massive thank you to your staff who were so patient and a special thank you to your customers who laughed everytime the beagles howled. Everyone loved the food and the ambience.
Went there with family, had a great time. Coffee and food great. If you don't want hot beverages they sell alcohol drinksFood: 5/5
I really wish this place was better than it is. Food is sub-par for the price which is disappointing but the service is generally terrible. Extremely limited GF & DF options for those with dietary requirements and the things that are GF on the menu are usually out of stock. Coffee is way to subtleand milky for my liking but that's personal taste. Now for the long-winded story.... We were seated outside and basically ignored for 20 or so minutes when we ordered drinks and our food in one go the drinks didnt come out for 10-15 minutes and food slow to follow half an hour after drinks came, especially given that there were not that many customers. Table next to us had issues with what they had requested and the waitress had NO CLUE how to handle the situation and just kept staring at them .... bit awkward for all..., our food came but they didnt supply and cutlery, ended up going to the counter myself as we asked for some and sat there for a good 5 minutes waiting so we could eat are semi cold food. Just no urgency from staff or maybe understaffed hard to say but service level is so poor. As others say they have the perfect spot to be amazing and have such a great business the locals could be proud of but instead mediocre food and super limited options for those who need DF or GF. Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions go elsewhere, its a roll of the dice if they have the very limited things in stock as they do run out and we have been caught out with this far to many times.
