Where do I start. The Milkhaus is set in an old cheese factory, rustic and has great ambience. All fresh ingredients is grown on site. The menu is based around what vegetables are in season. It’s all quality. The food was delicious, as was dessert absolutely loved it. I also had the best cup of coffee there to., Booking is essential it’s not a place you can turn up and expect to find a table. A real must if down on the South Coast.
Absolutely love the idea of this restaurant serving home grown, sustainable and seasonal produce! Even the lettuce was delicious! The tomatoes so sweet and juicy! I missed out on the waffle from the menu breakfast so opted for the polenta which I'm not usually a fan of as it is often bland but this one is divine! Wished we could've tried the lunch menu- definitely a good reason to go back! Service is wonderful as well! My partner and I also visited their garden and the chook pen, cannot help but feel so relaxed walking around! There's also a florist and a cooking school here, though not sure if it is currently running Highly recommend a visit to this place Date visited 28/01/2022
Really good fresh simple food done well. Most of the produce comes from their own adjacent garden which you are welcome to wander through - but don't pick. The setting is rustic and relaxed with both indoor and outdoor seating. The smoothies are terrific. There is onsite parking but it can be quite muddy after rain.Food: 4/5
We stayed in Milk Haus for Xmas holiday. The place is absolutely amazing! They have a big beautiful garden in the front and back. We loved the food and the breakfast. The hosts are so lovely and generous. We would definitely come back!
@milkhausmilton What a lovely little spot here in the South Coast of NSW. I visited my grandmother the other day and we came here for lunch. It’s a small menu but what they do, they do well. We both got the summer tart which was DELICIOUS, they grow a lot of their own food outside but again, lovely little cafe. Recommend visiting if you’re coming down to the south coast.
Delightful spot and delicious food! The cafe is bright and airy with a selection of local produce and wares on sale. Coffee is great. Smoothies are delicious. Staff friendly. We had the waffles amazing and the polenta delicious and came back the next day for another serve of the waffles still delicious and the roast tomatoes scrumptious. To top it all off, we took a stroll around the cooking garden afterwards and enjoyed the beautiful vegetable garden, the butterflies and the birds. Compulsory stop for breakfast, brunch and lunch lovers.
I ordered the Drunken Tofu and it was by far the best meal I have had in a very long time. I just felt like it was exactly what my body has been waiting for. Everything was cooked to perfection, thank you so much. I was in the on site veg garden before lunch and saw the chef cutting spring onions only to find them in my dish - you can't get any fresher than that! My daughter has declared her cheese toastie as "amazing" and wanted to order another one! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be back, til next time....
A must visit if you're in town! Farm to table cafe that serves a hearty and delicious meal. Definitely a highlight of our trip, and I can't wait to visit again.
Gorgeous, tasty food and great locally sourced menu, thoughtfully put together. Would highly recommend - do not miss if you are near Milton! Service also great. We all went for something different on the menu but our daughter's tofu in home made miso with veggies was an absolute standout even above the boys' meat meals!. Best tofu we ever tasted, and I'm not normally a huge fan.. Menu changes with the seasons and availability. Must visit!
One of our road trip favourites. Only a few minutes drive from Milton and Ulladulla this is a destination restaurant to add to your South Coast itinerary. They grow their own veggies, the salmon gravlax I had was made in house and they stock local produce for sale. How good to eat something healthy and tasty and know where the ingredients have come from. Highly recommend stopping here on your way to Narooma. Vegetarian options: Lots of homegrown veggies on the menu Kid-friendliness: Seats outside on the garden terrace. Space to roam. Parking: Lots of parking Dietary restrictions: Caters to all
