$22 per meal seems decent value - IF the food is properly prepared. It wasn’t.nnThe bolognase sauce base clearly came from a tin icky tinned taste - not denied when I asked the manager. It’s not that hard to prepare a decent bolognase sauce.nnAnd somebody forgot to finish cooking the par boiled vegetables rock hard and cold veg!.nnThe service was slow- “Sorry, we’re busy tonight” would be fine if the food was good , but there were many empty tables. And it is no excuse for cutting corners this badly.
After having success with other ‘Workers Clubs’ around the state it was time to try Mildura and wow, what a crowd for Sunday night. There were at least 3 big birthday tables and plenty of kids in the Family Bistro with a playground outside which was brilliant. I ordered my go to beef burger and it was packed with fresh ingredients and included crispy bacon, an egg and onion rings. I found the joining fee a bit more than the other clubs at $11 but it was well worth it for the savings. Cold beer and a great meal many thanks I will be back for sure. The Sports Bar area looked modern and also a great place to eat your meal. Big thumbs up!
I just wanted to share my experience at the club. My wife and I have recently moved to Mildura from Perth. Our first visit for lunch today was fantastic, the food was the best, the service was outstanding and the experience i had with the duty manager Alan really opened my eyes to what humanity can really be. His treatment and service to me was something that will stay with me for a long time. Thanks Alan from the bottom of my heart. This club is magnificent.
Food was 3/5 at best.nChicken parmigiana.nThe cauliflower was cold.nThe carrots were lukewarm but tasty.nSpuds were great.nSchnitzel was large enough. Chicken was nicely cooked.nTomato sauce was good. Ham was from the supermarket. Cheese was plentiful but I think was Tasty. Definitely not mozzarella.n$20 member’s price was excellent value. But the meal could have been better.nnThe complex itself is wonderful, hence the four stars overall.nLots of screens in the sports bar.nDecent variety of beers on tap.nnPoker on a Thursday night at 7PM.nOne year membership is $11.65 which gives you discounts on the food and drink.nnEvery staff member I encountered was wonderful. Happy, glad to be of service. Should be more of it.
Firstly, let me preface this by saying we normally never complain about anything. Our meal was very disappointing., it took an hour from when we ordered and they only got it partially right. Firstly they somehow forgot our meal after 45 minutes and then served us only partially what we ordered after another 20 minutes. Come on guys, just get it right, it is just not good enough. We will not be coming back. This is just clearly well below par.
