Went in this morning for post op back surgery pain. Was assessed by nurse Leanne and seen by Doctor Lauren in emergency. Lauren reviewed my medication and made two changes. Today on the new medication I feel better than I have since the surgery and from even pre the surgery. I can now tolerate sitting.
I went away to Mildura for a “baby vacation” before getting locked down with my first baby, I went into the Mildura hospital with worry’s about my baby’s movements, I called the nursing team and they got me in Straight away I didn’t even have to wait 5 minutes, my placenta had ubrupted and I had to have an emergency c section all under 2 hours it happened, the doctor worked on my baby for 2 hours and saved him was incredibly lucky he made it, the 2 nurses names I remember were Jenny and Jodie, they were so kind and supportive I couldn’t imagine going through what I did without them, they also got me on a plane to sunshine hospital closer to home as I was 7 hours away , the doctor and nursing team were so incredible and supportive here would recommend Mildura hospital in a heart beat for anyone! How ever I would recommend their covid policy to be updated : It was a hard experience for a young first time mum! Hoping they can adjust the visitor rule :
My mother is bring well looked after, the nurses and doctors have kept me up to date and were straight to the point so I could understand so I could get the family together they were very compassionate
Waited for almost 8 hours from 6pm to 2am and i can't wait anymore. Took my urine n blood and asked me to sit wait for doctor. As a Sick patient i should rest at that hour but they make me sit without knowing anything. I came with stomach pain but went back with the same pain plus headache, stress, lack of sleep, backpain and frustration.
Had the most pleasant experience at the emergency department and the short stay department. I had broken my ankle and found the staff to be very caring and compassionate in helping me relieve the pain and repair the bones. Some of the names I remember Dr Stephen, Dr Joel, Naomi, Emma, Jodi, Abbey were fantastic at there job and there were more but it happened so quickly I forgot names.
I went in today for a day surgery. I must say, from reception to Theatre, Theatre to exit, Team was exceptional, helping and really warm. I was bit nervous as it was bit emotional but Specialist O&G Anaesthetist, front desk and nurses were all exceptional and caring. Never had any contact prior to this one at base. Had my first baby in Melbourne, It was good too. Really overwhelmed with the services here at base today. Thanks so much team, You ‘re doing alot for us as a community.
On March 4th this year my wife Helen Kent and I were enjoying a caravan holiday in Mildura when she complained of leg pain. Unable to get an appointment wih a doctor she presented to emergency at the hospital and was admitted that evening with suspected cellulitus. Over the next 24 hours her condition deteriorated and she was moved to ICU under the care of Dr Margaret Dunkley and treated for septic shock. The following day It was decided to transfer my wife to the Alfred in Melbourne by air ambulance. This decision saved my wife's life. She was found to be infected with an extremely rare bacteria normally only found in tropical regions. After 100 days at the Alfred and Caulfield hospitals Helen is back home on the Mornington Peninsula with her family and loving dog Shelby. With just a little more rehab to go my wife is fully recovered. The initial care and life saving decisions from the staff at Mildura Hospital are very much appreciated. Thanks to all involved for a great outcome from John and Helen
Has really improved since it’s back as public hospital, the staff are so much friendlier and do a good job helping you, there is one nurse I’ve seen that make you feel like your making it up but the rest is great. It be so much better if the hospital was in a bigger area with more car parks
I have attended day surgery in october, i also attended a and e in november i was admitted . Thankyou MBPH staff, professional, and worked non stop, we the community are lucky to have you . Thankyou
I cannot thank the Mental Health Team and Chris Harvey my counsellor enough, you have given me my old self back and changed my life to where I wished it could be. I honestly don't know how to thank you all enough. I was just recently omitted to the base hospital for a suspected heart attack and all the staff and ambulance personnel where absolutely amazing once again thanks heaps to everyone your commitments, professionalism caring abilities and passion are nothing short of exceptional. Kindest regardsTim.
