A sensational spot at any time of day, any season throughout the year. We recently popped in for a yummy lunch. Whether you choose to ear out under the covered outdoor area or in the beautifully decorated cafe, you won't be disappointed. There is so much to see, with classic pieces of memorabilia everywhere you turn. 5 stars!
Taste a great set of cheeses, then purchase and take away, or sit down for a range of great meals.
Absolutely delightful place to have a glass of wine and a delicious cheese platter. Eclectic selection of comfy sofas on a huge patio outside.Nice and dog friendly. Just make sure to hedge your bets on the cheese - not everyone likes all the strong tastes that are on offer :-
Nice self guided take away cheese tasting platter meant we didn't have to book. And with the large grassed area out the front, we were able to sit and enjoy the cheese in the shade of a tree before going back to buy our favourites. Winery, cafe and gift shop were all there too so we stayed for lunch and a wine tasting. A second visit had me trying the guided tasting and another lunch inside the cafe. Warm, great atmosphere, good music played loud enough to hear, but no two loud that you couldn't easily converse. Food was tasty and we headed back to the shop for some of the cheese we had tasted.
We visited again last week on our drive pass. As with our previous visits, it was certainly worth visiting. Lovely range of cheese and local produce. We sampled a few of their goat cheeses before purchasing. Their cafe seem to have had a lovely makeover, beautifully set up, comfortable chairs, excellent tea & coffee. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area
such a sensational place. stopped here after a ski trip to Hotham. lovely surrounds. outdoor eating area and restaurant with excellent coffee. BUT..... it's the CHEESE you come here for !! OMG just gorgeously delicious. we tried 16 cheeses ALL were fantastic. only hard part was how to choose which ones to buy. i took home about 6 cheeses. got a complimentary cheese cooler thrown in ! all sensational. highly recommend a stopover here . you will NOT be disappointed !! top regards to the Cheese chef. these recipes are fabulous. so good. going to order online if i can !
We were the only 2 customers in the cheese shop. We stood at the counter waiting for some time to be served however the 2 staff working behind the counter didn't even look at us let alone give us service. Feed up we left the shop with our buying anything. Business must be good!
Beautiful place, poorly located. Layout makes no sense. 2 separate shops that don't work together. Large deck area, taylor made for wine tasting, had this been its purpose, yet under utilised. Not run well at all and not worth the visit.
We travelled all the way from Manly was so excited to taste and buy and visit this place. On 27-Sept Wednesday morning arrived and wanted to understand the various sourdough available and was served by a ‘sour face’ looking woman she was abrupt and almost rude the way she kept replying to my excited question of which is savoury. She gave us a really bad experience what a shame.
This company make beautiful cheese and the staff work extremely hard . I applied for a position at Milawa a little while ago and was lucky enough to get a trial and was paid for the 4 hours worked . The only disappointment was , that I was not successful in the position of cheese wrapper and I thought that I worked very well . I felt because I am an older person i may have missed out on the position. Us older workers deserve a chance as well as the young , and we just want to work , but thanks anyway .
