We had a really great experience at Midland Gate Pharmacy. Leah was exceptional. Compassionate, kind and full of empathy. We also had great help from the pharmacist. Will definitely be back.
BRILLIANT!! 10 plus stars On a day where I wasn't up for facing the world but had to. I came in here to find the most incredibly welcoming, kind, efficient, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff and calm environment. I will no longer go to another pharmacy and HIGHLY recommend this business. They went above and beyond to assist me.
Always loved coming into this pharmacy! Many staff have worked there for many years which shows what a decent company they are. The manager Michaela is always super friendly and cares about her customers. You are better off spending your money in a smaller independent and family run pharmacy than the likes of the big million dollar chains!
Mia the Naturopath at Midland Gate Pharmacy is an absolute gem. From helping with the most basic questions to comforting my partner whilst awaiting our Jab. Never before have i had such a personal and genuine experience whilst shopping at what is usually considered to be a poor experience due to sickness or injury. Its rare to find such an amazing employee let alone several of them! Unfortunately i didnt get the gentlemens name but the bloke who administered my Jab was also very professional whilst being comforting and accomodating beyond what you would ever expect. 10/10 guys. I wont shop elsewhere if it can be helped!
This pharmacy’s one saving grace is their gorgeous photo developing team. Need photos developed there quickly at high quality with low cost? Look nowhere else. Need spur of the moment pain relief for long-term pain management issues? Unless you have a script for non-script items, which most of the general public do not given it is not required till early next year, you risk receiving no help. I am sitting at my desk in agony now, I cannot simply disappear to my doctor given my role is only performed by myself and the coverage is vital. Come early next year, you may feel free to refuse dispensing all opioid analgesics without a doctor’s script, until then I suggest you take a far greater interest in your patients rather than sending them off feeling both miserable with pain and victimized. There are many other chemists that take an active interest in the ongoing care and understanding of patient’s needs and I will be finding a new one from hence forth. A shame, you were a rather convenient location. From a fellow health worker.
So my mother is disabled and I take her scripts in to get filled in at my local chemist but since I was in midland today. I decided to get them filled in this chemist and as soon as I handed the scripts over to them, they immediately thought I was suspicious about my own mothers prescription and had to call our doctor to confirm it was her prescription. In other words I’m making a fake script with her details and my doctors details. This is the first time it’s happened to me and I’m completely gobsmacked about the fact I was treated with such suspicion, I will not be coming back at all
I had come to the counter to ask a question about something i had purchased from another pharmacy. After having two people served before me even though i was next the older man asked 'can i help you?! I admitted i purchased something from a competitor, i was just after some advice, literally needing to ask one question. He cut me off asking where from, i said 'Chemist Warehouse' as that's my closest to my house, now 40 kms away. He then says in a VERY condescending tone 'why dont you ask them, how about that and walked off. Shocked, i followed him and asked 'is that it?! He replied 'yep, see ya later!' I couldnt believe it. I told him he was rude and im disgusted at his response, Happy New Year. I did nothing to deserve this treatment from someone supposedly dedicated to helping people. I am appauled.
I have been to this pharmacy on quite a few occasions and for this review I was intending to leave three stars - this being given for not bad, but pretty average service that I usually receive; I have found several of the younger females in there are not warm in their manner, rather vacant, uninterested and somewhat giving of the impression that I am wasting their time. The older females are not too bad. The older male, who I think is the manager or owner is also pretty good, although his sense of wry humour may not be appreciated by all, but I find it no problems. However after reading through some of these reviews - and human nature being what it is - attracted to the reviews with poor ratings, I was not impressed to see that some other people have not fared well at all at this pharmacy, quite shocking really - and especially since NONE of these reviews have received any follow-up comment from the owner. Also the one that mentioned the letter of complaint, which also had no reply. Very rude. So I reduced my rating to two stars for this. Call it the follow-on effect. It gives the impression of a sure sign of not caring about their customers' experiences. I'm sure this pharmacy, servicing as it does, a low socio-economic area like Midland, would get more than their fair share of shifty types presenting themselves at the counters, however, that certainly wasn't the case of some of the people writing those reviews who seemed very well educated and probably more knowledgeable than the staff!
Bought a diffuser in this store and returned it because it didn't work. Felt like the staff member was being disrespectful. Told to leave item there. Got a call back saying yes product was faulty. Gee, told them that while in store. Just wasted refund not another product. Same story when it came to skin products. Had an allergic reaction. Got no refund, so the items in the bin. Not happy Jane.
I dunno know what the low ratings are about, but this is hands down the best independent Pharmacy in Perth!!! I got a free, barista made coffee while I waited for passport photos, the young women who work there are so polite and attentive, you'll want to visit just for the service. They also have a massive selection of natural therapies and supplements - Their not a bigbox store so your not going to please everyone but their range is so great, if they don't have it you probably don't need it.
