Nothing shows an amazing team when you ask for an espresso martini and see the bar staff member hard swallow, then smooth as silk...check the cocktail book and smash it out of the park. We stayed here for the second time and were very pleased again nThere a 3 star hotel but the room we stayed in was better than most other places. Good kitchen, washer, dryer, great internet, plenty of towels.nSuper clean room you can tell the housekeeping cares about the place.nnSome awesome live music on the night we stayed.nnGreat pub food staff are friendly, not much more ya need in a pub/accommodation really.nnThanks for a great night guys
Had Bangers and Mash and vegies. Really tasty and well cooked. Large serves. Table service. Staff courteous and helpful. Ice cold beer. Reasonably priced, also had Seniors menue. Comfortable surroundings and decor. Beer garden. Great Lunch. THANKS.
One of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Arrived and found you had to go to the bar to check in where I was ignored to 5 minutes while they served drinks. When finally served the lady took more than 5 minutes to come back after trying to find my book. Got to the room and found a sign that said they were having plumbing issues with the hot water and you had to run it for 10 minutes to get any. Wife tried having a shower and after finally getting hot water for a minute it went stone cold with no pressure. It then went instantly hot to the point is scalded her. She got out and readjusted it. Tries again and it did the exact same thing a minute later. Stone cold and then burned her. I went back to the bar and told the staff. They couldn’t do anything apart from offering another room to shower in. And to talk to the manager the next day. I didn’t receive a call from the manager when promised. I ended up calling her and got a rude lady who couldn’t give a damn. I promptly cancelled my second night and when somewhere else. Avoid this place like the plague.
We stayed at The Met in Mackay last weekend for the Bob Marley tribute show. The hospitality was fantastic, we felt so comfortable there. The service and food were amazing. All credit to the management and staff. Keep up the great work, it's much appreciated.
