Stayed for 3 nights. Room was spacious and clean, however there was a smell. I think this was due to the fact that the room hasn't been aired for our check-in time and it was a damp day when we arrived, I wish the housekeeping staff had opened up a window prior to our arrival. Also we didn't get a daily room clean, which I thought was odd because I thought housekeeping would come every day. Room was clean upon our arrival. Plumbing and water pressure was a bit low, but I didn't mind. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Location is outside of the city and in a quiet suburb, 24 minute bus ride into the city. Trains and Light-rail was longer walk to get to. I'd stay there again if I want a quieter place, away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney CBD. A bit pricey, but I guess that is Sydney for you!
I stayed for 1night in a 3 bedroom unit, and that’s one of the best experiences i have. I enjoyed the view from my room, the spacious unit, and the kitchen was so fully-equipped. I met one staff there, Mr. Indra, the housekeeping manager assistant who helped us meeting our needs and made our stay even more enjoyable. I could’ve even given more than 5 stars if possible, very recommended..
We have stayed with Meriton before and comparatively the standards have really dropped. A large chunk of the services are now outsourced so the staff cannot help at all.nWe stayed for a whole week and changed multiple rooms, each with their own issues.n- One of our rooms came with a blocked drain and when we tried to call reception we found that the room phone was broken so we had to go to the reception in person later rooms all had broken phones that never got fixed. The reception was heavily understaffed and it took forever to have someone come and unclog the sink, it was so late that my mum's high blood pressure got triggered due to unrest as she was staying up waiting to shower.n- Our room never got cleaned and the trash smelled for days. The room service did not restock shampoo and body soap in daily checks and when asked they openly said that soaps had to be asked from reception only.n- We lost an item in one of the rooms and we asked them to check it for 3 days in a row, never got a response. They also resorted to lying saying that the people who stayed in the room after us would not allow entry and we can only go in after they check out. They claimed that the group would check out on Monday, and when Monday came we got escorted in the room where the people were still in the room and nothing packed no signs of checkout. Our lost item was not in sight, but this was 3 days after we lost it, we may have found it on day 1 if they did not deny our entry and refuse to help.nnLocation was just average, 18 minute walk to closest train station.
Very spacious!nnMy partner and I stayed there and it felt like we were in our own apartment, it even had an office space.nnInitially a little confusing to find the carpark and the buildings are all separate but the receptionists are super helpful!nnPublic transport wise is only 5mins away to a bus stop which is fine except for us when we were unlucky enough to have it rain cats and dogs on us.
One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The 1831 room and similar rooms were all the same. Washer & dryer, premium soap and shampoo, super nice bathroom, living room, balcony, dishwasher, stove, kitchen sink. The washer and dryer were a real surprise and treat. They even provided laundry soap. Had a pool, sauna, and jacuzzi downstairs. Staff were friendly. Not close to the harbor, but a super easy bus ride. This will be my top choice if I go to Sydney again.
