Place was pretty clean. However the bedroom had a bad food stench in it. It was a strong odour & very smelly - should have been aired out before we arrived. Also, reception needs to be careful when explaining where the rooms are located there are many blocks. Poor communication resulted in us being sent to the wrong building… Overall, bed was comfortable & it was well priced for a Saturday night
Beautiful design of the entrance and rooms, definitely recommend trying for a high floor, we were on level 20 and it was awesome. The hotel has so many appliances and cooking utensils, they even had a potato masher, I’ve never seen that in a hotel. The space in the rooms and the bathrooms were excellent, only down side was that in our shower/bath there was a old small bar of used soap in the corner next to where the bath plug was, looked like it had been there for a while. Overall amazing stay though, Thank you!
Stayed in the N building, so not sure how other people's experiences differed. It got off to a pretty rocky start, as on their website, you're given the option to book parking for $50 or so. But when my friend who booked the rooms went to reception to ask them about it, they responded by saying that they don't do reserve parking, despite what their website said. Parking was also horrible. There was a bunch of furniture, cardboard boxes and pallets taking up a majority of the parking spaces, even though a lot of it could've been moved to make room. It was also just poorly laid out with pillars blocking parking spaces or lines drawn in ridiculously small and uneven spaces. The rooms were all a decent size, and the outdoor space was nice, but it was very surface level. The TV's were cheap, and took a ridiculously long time to turn on, would randomly switch inputs or the chrome cast would disconnect. The master bedroom was small and you had to squeeze between the bed and the wall to get out if you were on the right side of the bed. The en-suite bathroom shower had a leaky screen, so the water just went everywhere and there wasn't any ventilation from what I could gather. There weren't any towels for the master bedroom either, and it took multiple calls to reception to get them to bring some down. And there was a broken hairdryer. So overall, decent space, but definitely in need of some maintenance and upgraded appliances. And for all things holy, please clean up the underground parking.
The positives - room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The Spa facilities are great to have access to. There’s a bbq area too. We found the location good, Uber freely available with a large grocery store a two minute walk away. The cons - The reception desk is an absolute management disaster. There’s hundreds of guests in the units and the desk always has a queue. Pretty simple solution - put more people on? Also, there’s only two elevators in each building and the service workers also rely on them, so be prepared to wait for the elevators. Finally - wouldn’t consider it a serviced five star hotel. Room gets cleaned after 7-days of staying. Bar that some days new towels were provided but no cleaning provided bins, sheets etc. Almost every time we visited the spa we had to go to reception to ask for them to put more towels out.
Always a lovely stay. The room smells fresh, decor is v chic and modern. Nice design and clean. V well maintained. We got the 2 bedrooms suite and it came with 2 bath. One with bathtub…
If you need a place to stay near Zetland then I highly recommend Meriton Suites Zetland. The one bedroom studio was clrean and comfortable quiet. Only issue was the kitchen sink had no drain plug and they didn't have another one that fitted. Yes there is a dishwasher but it was hard to use give the control panel was very worn. Rooms: lots of storage
Service are very hard to reach and hung up on us twice, but they eventually did get to us. It was maybe just a busy night. Rooms are great. Air cons need improving though, it was HOT!Rooms: 5/5
Great to book a suite but noting they have restrictions on what activities you can do. Also, some weird pot smoking smell coming from 1 of the apartments. Had no usb charging ports. Kitchen was full functionality! View was lovely despite planes, service very good but at dusk swarms of locusts grasshoppers and a few cockaroaches. Internal carport. Not great for public transport. Almost no cafes, hardly any restaurants and 1 convenience store... location not great.
Meriton is a network of serviced apartments around Australia. Always clean and of a high standard. Great choice for short to medium term stay in Sydney. Meriton Zetland is a short drive from both city center and the airport. Reasonably priced given generally high hotel prices in Sydney. Great indoor pool.Rooms: 5/5
I can't even rate our stay. it would have to be the worst stay ever. the room was not clean, the pillows, doonas, underlays all had stains on them. No bath towels were provided at all. the rooms were not cover cleaned, stains on bench tops, windows, mirrors and door glass panels and door handles. the curtains were all falling off each window. There was a water leak in one of the rooms. The power and water were cut off with no warning or back up planning was provided. the hallways outside of the lift were dumped with old materials which was an OHS and hazard. I tried to give feedback and all I got was put it in writing. I still have not received any contact from anyone at Meriton. worst stay ever would never every recommend to stay at Meriton apartments. It doesn't deserve any star raiting at all.
