The highest quality bathhouses you’ll ever visit. Modern design with minimal effort, very clean and just superbly designed. They have two giant pools side by side that can fit 100s of swimmers and dippers. Extraordinary views, something out of a catalogue. A great amount of parking and plenty of space to set your gear down. Must visit if you’re in the area.
Merewether Swimming Pool in NSW is an incredible spot for swimming and other recreational activities. With a long pool and two high-board dives, there is plenty of room to move around and enjoy the pool. The water is kept at a comfortable temperature, making it pleasant to swim even on hot days. You can also take advantage of the heated dive boards, which make the dives safe in colder temperatures. The landscaping around the pool is immaculate and gives a great sense of being immersed in nature. There are many trees, shrubs and flowers to look at and enjoy. The outdoor dining area is also great for taking a break and enjoying a meal. The facilities at Merewether Swimming Pool are top notch. The pool has trained lifeguards that ensure everyone’s safety. There are also showers, toilets and change rooms plus a kiosk. These features make the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Merewether Swimming Pool is an amazing pool with lots of great features such as the heated dive board and its beautiful landscaping. For a great day out, or simply a good swim, Merewether Swimming Pool should definitely be considered.
These are the largest ocean baths in the Southern Hemisphere! What a treat ‍ Ample swimming lanes, smaller area for kids it's a graded, sandy entrance, change rooms and toilets. The end point for the Memorial Walk, which is gorgeous and well worth doing!
Beautiful ocean baths. So clean, water is perfect temp. Was expecting cold water, but was very surprised, it was lovely and cool without the cold bite. Will go here every chance I get.
Merewether Ocean Baths have neatly solved the issue of lappies taking more than their fair share of public pools. Instead of letting them swim lengths of the biggest ocean pool in the Southern Hemisphere they make then swim 50 metres across the pool between concrete blocks down one end. This leaves the bulk of this 100 metre ocean pool for recreational swimmers to swim in any direction they want. It’s also fully accessible with no steps between reserved accessible parking and the ramps into both the large pool and the wading pool which is also a hundred metres long with a soft sand entry on one side. With hand gliders cruising overhead, and waves crashing on three sides this is a beautiful pair of pools with plenty of amenity: concrete and wood benches spaced along the whole site, clean change rooms, outdoor showers, free off-street parking and lifeguards dispensing water-going wheelchairs to those who need them.
Great experience plenty of parking. Very Busy on a public Holiday! kids friendly and plenty of options if you want to buy food. Great atmosphere!
Family friendly pool is available here. It is an amazing day to start/end your day here!
Great place to bring little kids on a hot day. There are two Ocean baths, one suited for little kids, a large shallow pool running off the beach. There is a toilet block right besides the bath and cafes within walking distance. Parking can be painful depending on how close you want to park - we had a 5 minute walk. I would also recommend investing in a beach umbrella the sun can be brutal and there is no shade close to the water.
Very nice place good for family with kids
One of a kind ocean bath in Australia! This is a family friendly and special place that we will continue to visit event though it's 2 hrs drive for us. Great for kids and adults. Bring your own food though as sometimes the cafe is not open. It was closed on the day we went. Parking is 4hrs free. Best to come early to grab a spot. Starts to get busy after 10am.
