Absolutely Fabulous!nnThe Mercure Doncaster has been my home-away-from-home for 9 straight weeks and I absolutely love staying here!nnBeing constantly on the road for work really isn't as glamorous as you'd think and the Friday afternoon flights home can't come soon enough, yet the Sunday mid-morning flights back to Melbourne comes far too soon. But the amazing team at the Mercure Doncaster make it so much better and help keep me sane when I'm away from my home and my life in Brisbane. I'm always welcomed with a hearty hello by all the team members, and no request is ever too difficult or inconvenient for the team to accommodate.nnThe hotel is new I think it opened in the early 2020's and everything is sparkly clean and perfectly comfortable. The rooms are a decent size and well laid out, and gym and pool are the perfect start or finish to a workday.nnThe restaurant staff are expert at the dishes they prepare and the food is always fresh, delicious, and prepared with love and pride.nnThere's a large Westfield right across the road which comes in very handy, and although the food is superb at the hotel, it's convenient to be able to pop over to the shopping centre for something different for dinner.nnI cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and I have no doubt that your experience will be as amazing as mine continues to be.nnThank you Mercure Doncaster for making my stays as amazing as you do!
Wonderful stay yet again.nWe’ve stayed numerous times and keep returning because of the lovely staff, fantastic location and beautiful views from the rooms.nWe enjoyed the new menu too.nWe had a small issue and within minutes the attentive staff had responded and resolved it.nWe will keep returning to one of our favourite hotels.
I felt facilities such as the gym were excellent. It’s one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve seen for a while.nnSome negatives:n1. There were never many staff available at the concierge desk. I felt pressured to get a move on while checking the bill in checkout as others were waiting and getting frustrated but there was only one person in the counter. I wasn’t going to rush as checking the bill is important.n2. While it wasn’t a big deal, there was a sign in the room saying if we wanted to be good for the environment and not have our towels washed, we should leave them hanging up. In the two mornings we were there when our room would be made up for us, we left the towels hanging up and they were still taken away. What’s the point of the sign?n3. I was very disappointed on the Sunday night of our stay that there was only one stream left and there were two of us. Surely your team would’ve known of an increase in numbers due to the Australians F1 GP and had more food on hand. The same thing happened on Monday morning when there was no bacon for breakfast because of the weekend demand.n4. The worst part is the quality of the cleaners in the rooms. When I was packing up my stuff, I found a tooth pick on the floor. We hadn’t used any tooth picks so I’m not sure how long it had been there but it was at least one customer before me.n5. A minor item was that in the bathroom sink, the tap water pressure was fantastic yet the shower wasn’t much chop.
Stayed here very long time. The hotel room was clean, and housekeeping ladies were nice. The restaurant service was quite slow, and not attentive. Breakfast sometimes were so many people. Have to queue for sometime. The staffs set up breakfast differently everyday. Room service was slow, sometime when they sent food to room, the food was cold already for main courses. The menu is very limited. Swimming hearted pool sometimes was warm, sometimes was cold. I could see the staff monitor the temperature, but still…
Best hotel experience I've ever had. The staff went above and beyond from the moment I checked in. Rooms were comfortable, food was delicious, great location across the road from Westfield.nI would recommend this hotel. Thank you to the staff.
