Overall not a very good experience dealing with this repair service, my car went in after a rear end collision for some body work and repair, after leaving it with them for over a month i got the call to collect my vehicle. I arrived and got asked if I wouldn't mind waiting while they gave it a quick wash which I thought was great service and a nice touch, after a walk around and checking on the work things became a little less great, the rear bumper screws were not even catching on the under body work which meant they were loose and the bumper was not secured, they had also used the old factory screws which were no good and didn't have much thread so i could turn them with my fingers, the spare tyre had been put back on wrong which meant it was jammed up against the new bumper which then had to be undone and re aligned and my Anderson plugs which i had to re-thighten because they wasnt put back on properly. The plastic trim from the mudguards was loose and not fixed on properly. The rear number plate cover had broken on impact and all they did was remove it and not replace it. A couple of The centre console clips had broken in the accident so all they did was push it back into place which meant the ignition switch compartment was falling out, i had to re book the car back in and wait another 6 weeks before I could get the parts fitted. 1 week on i had to re- turn the car because my rear tail light reversing lights was not working, after a heated debate and i was asked to leave the reception by the receptionist because she didnt want to talk about the issues she was saying they had nothing to do with the reverse lights i managed to explain to her before I got kicked out the lights had to come off due to the damage that was caused from the accident she realised that it did indeed have something to do with them and got someone to have a look and they were not wired up when they were put back on. No apology which i wasnt expecting...weeks on i returned back after chasing them a couple of times for the parts that i needed fixing i got the new parts fixed and went home. Below is the picture of the number plate they put back on using the wrong screws which have now pierced the paint work and metal in my tail gate, fair to say i will not be using them again or recommending them for any work, I understand mistakes can get made but surely with quality cintrol this shouldn't happen when you are paying thousands on your vehicle...

Mellington Smash Repairs were recommended by our insurer. The car was booked in for four days for the repair however they completed the job within just one day. This was a very high quality repair with the car also given a complementary wash which was very appreciated. All seemed well when I picked my car up. Few issues here and there until I jumped underneath my car to do a routine oil change.nnTurns out they either didn't feel like putting a nut back on a major mounting bolt or weren't bothered to tighten it to spec.nnFeels good knowing that 1 of the 2 bolts that mounts the front end of my car on wasn't doing anything.nWas in a pretty annoying spot to get to boys I get why you didn't bother with it .nFeel free to get back to me at your earliest convenience.

My car was sent here after a not-at-fault accident. After 5.5 months of waiting for parts, I finally got the car back, but the repairs were incomplete. The bonnet should have been repaired, but they decided it wasn’t part of the original accident damage without checking with me or the insurance company.nnI raised this with the insurance assessor, who contacted Mellingtons and pointed out the unfinished bonnet repair along with other issues. The owner insisted it wasn’t part of the accident, despite me uploading photos to the insurance company on the day of the accident showing the grill pushed over the bonnet, causing scratches. Mellingtons ignored the request to complete the job as they should have.nnNow I’m driving with unfinished repairs, waiting for the insurance company to arrange another repairer to finish what was started, hopefully not another 5+ month wait.nnVery disappointed with this outcome!

I don't where to start this experience with Mellington was was next level bad right from start to finish well when I say finish they never finished job told me I had to return hire vehicle as my ute was deemed fit to drive was waiting on a part for tail gate which he assured me would be 15 to 30 days and I got this in writing so picked ute.I have never never ever meet someone in business like who I dealt with super arrogant and rude and couldn't care less about customer. After waiting 15 days came and went then 30 days came and went then after 112 days I call to see what was happening once again didn't giveca shit.After calling insurance and putting complaint in and said I don't want ute to go back they agreed and arrange someone else.After telling me its a brand new ute tub put on numerous times he then told me it was 2nd hand which i didnt care from start as long as job looked good.He then said mate if i put new tub on it would cost 20k .isnt that why u have insurance so vehicle can be repaired to standard before crash my ute was 5 mths old at time i was hit.The whole experience here was nightmare.It is crazy the way this was handled as the actual painting of ute was pretty good job no complaints at all it just the process of getting there was diabolical.
