Disappointed to arrive today at 2 pm ( when advertised hours are 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays) to find it closed and to NOT provide blood collection ( even though listed along with other blood collection centres by the same name. Please amend the website to clearly show that there is no blood collection here. We would appreciate somewhere being open after 1pm in inner Melbourne on Saturday where bills can be taken. Sophia XC

Disorganised & dishonest service. After my GP booked me in for blood tests after a recent trip overseas resulted in a heavy fever, Melbourne Pathology took on the standard testing process PLUS ADDITIONAL TESTING WITHOUT MY CONSENT. Their explanation was this test was compulsory due to Goverment regulations after visiting the specific region i did. Not only did they not ask for my permission, they then proceeded to invoice me for the tests (taken without my consent, permission, not even a call to inform me of the unknown costs they were about to charge to ME, NOT MY GP (!?!?!) Not only this, but the charge was for $123.44, a very trivial cost to me as it looks made up. When i prompted Melbourne Pathology as to tell me what the actual charge was for, they couldn't find a good reason. They couldn't explain that charge, and stated that it was not the usualy charge for the test that they claimed to have done, BUT stated that i must pay the fee regardless. SO basically, without my permission, consent, any heads up, or a good explanation as to the costings, they are still demanding i pay this charge. The very least i would expect from a professional company of their stature would be an apology and a rectification of the issue. Yet the only response from Melbourne Pathology paraphrased is "Sorry we cant help you further, you just have to pay it"

I wouldn't recommend this pathology centre as they provide the wrong pricing when it comes to tests. Despite calling them twice to confirm the costing and both providing the same price quite confidently making you feel informed and at ease until you receive a invoice in the mail. And do you get the shock of your life!! When you call to inquire why the invoice is double the amount you'll get confusion and transferred to the accounts department who will treat you terribly with an attitude to match the poor service! There are plenty of other service providers who will treat you with respect and common decency.

I spoke to someone yesterday 31/03/14 about being overtaken by one of your cars in Balwyn at 11:45am on the 31/03/14. I checked today and it is a 40 km zone and there is also a continuous white line which means no passing. Also next time someone rings with feedback about your drivers, don't tell them they're wrong, tell them you'll deal with it and thank them for their precious time.
