DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ANOTHER CON ARTIST TRYING TO RIP OFF HARD WORKING AUSTRALIANS !!! Like the other reviewer, I have had to go to VCAT to gain an Order to get my money back as Alex and his team never showed up after promised dates. Not worthy of 1-star (more like -1) but I had to put something to submit this post.

Unfortunately I've had to update my review. My first experience with these guys last year was great. Punctual and good communication. Unfortunately this second time around, there were consistent delays and also poor communication, plus a big mess when they 'finished' the job. This lead to our fence being erected in a rush (when it finally got scheduled in), and now we are still waiting on them to schedule in to fix the first fence, which has partially collapsed and also fix the new fence, which was not installed properly and is beginning to fall apart.

Waiting... waiting... waiting.... in the beginning it was easy to get a quote and Alex seemed to know what he was doing and was very polite. We were warned about delays due to weather but decided to go ahead anyway. The contractor called in "sick" the first time he was meant to arrive after i had taken an unpaid day off of work to be home for it. They never called to let me know, i called them three times before they let me know no one was coming. Today is the rescheduled day and still no one here. 1 hour after they were meant to arrive. Appalling service. Terrible communication. They can't keep track of their contractors/staff. IF this fence ever gets built that will be the one and only saving grace for them. I originally wrote this review in Feb 2017. Our fence was up in March, however it was done badly. The fence boundary was moved beyond acceptable , the materials used were not quality like they brag it to be, the nails used were not proper fence nails, the overlap on the fence was so bad the company agreed to fix it... but we have been waiting all year for this to be fixed. Alex the owner said that they have so much work coming in that we got overlooked.. THANKS ALEX. To date, VCAT hearing have ordered MFC to pay us back our money.. Can't wait for this to be over.. Definitely would not recommend this company if you are looking for quality work. They pay their workers by the meter so they are not really going to be looking at details here. Its all about how quick they can get it done.

Alex and the team were magnificent from start to finish with our demolition and rebuild. Alex worked with me as I chopped and changed plans with my neighbor and gave us the perfect solution which looks amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone looking for a strong well built and good looking fence.

Wow who knew arranging fences could be so difficult! NO ONE calls you back! You chase, chase, chase and it’s EXPENSIVE. No one will assist with shared fencing. But then we came across Melbourne Fence Company. These guys are honestly in a league of their own! The admin team are phenomenal and as soon as we contacted them it was smooth sailing. They did they leg work for us – no chasing neighbours! Do yourself a favour! If you need fences, don’t waste time contacting ANY other fence company! MFC is the most professional and they are the cheapest!
