Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday with a friend. Lovely venue, large with great decor. It has a separate private area that can be booked for private events. Menu had lots to choose from as well as a daily specials board. We each had the soup - pea and ham, which was delicious but could have been hotter. We shared the terrine platter, which was good accompanied by a glass of wine. Great place for lunch, dinner or just a drink.
This place is fantastic! We had the lunch special. 16 dollars pasta with schooner 5 exta and steak with wine6 extra The food is awesome. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare-most places over cook it such a great restaurant where u can chill ur Sunday afternoon with various food and drinks choices. Will be back again soon!
Dropped by to grab lunch after shopping at DFO. The location is perfect and the venue is huge offering outdoor seating and a private area that can be booked for private events. Menu had limited vegetarian options but the one’s they had were absolutely amazing. Loved the pumpkin pizza and Alfredo pasta but the saganaki could have been better. It had a weird aftertaste to it.
My 3rd visit and I would call it a Gem of Southwharf. I love the place, the atmosphere, the style and decor. The food is always fresh and served appealing, the selection of drink is obviously massive. I think it is a great spot for anything from party to romantic date.
Limited menu, ordered Rib Eye steak, was not tender at all, the salad was good and chips as well. My partner got a pasta dish with prawns and chorizo, serving was small with maybe four prawns. Beers, service and pricing were good, but overall I expected more from a restaurant in this location.
Fantastic wine bar in a great location. Hands down has the best prices and selection of wine and beer in the area, as well as great food. Shoutout to the staff who were extremely accommodating and always super friendly to our visiting group of Darwinites. We WILL be back!

Staff are attentive and friendly. The meals are packed with flavour and we'll presented. They have an extensive beverage range.

Can't thank Mark and his whole team enough. Our function last night went off without a hitch. Food was awsome and plenty of it. Food and drinks were really reasonably priced. The room, the staff, the whole package was perfect. Thanks to everyone at Melbourne Cellar Door.
