Will never shop with you again. Rude butcher and terrible products. I sent a message regarding off meat and you never even bothered to reply. Bought meat on the 31st of Jan and opened on the 4th and it smelled disgusting, It was covered in a white fur. Used by date was the 6th. Nice waist of money. We also purchased their sausages. 4 packs for $12 and every time we ate them the entire family was sick. The whole porterhouse we purchased was ok. Cheap but not quality meat.
If you want exceptional service and quality meat, come to this place. Peter, gave us a lot of information on how cut and trim meat, as he cut it for us. Nothing is too much trouble. I'll be back. Fantastic value in every way.
I bought pre cooked mud crab and sand crabs for new years eve, the mud crabs flesh was soft and a very questionable taste and smell. We had the sand crabs the next day and couldn't eat because it tasted bad. I'm questioning the freshness of the product especially seeing all the frozen crabs in the deep freeze. Did I pay full price for old stock thawed out on their fresh food counter.
This place has definitely gone down hill in the past 12 months or so. I previously use to purchase my meat from here every week but I no longer buy any meat here anymore. My last purchase from here was a whole rib fillet at almost $120, apon cutting it open it was slimmy, smelt rancid and was frankly inedible to the point I would not of fed it to my dog, I also purchase lamb loin chops which were also well past there date. I returned all these products for a full refund but I will not be returning or recommending anyone to these guys in future. I have found a really good butcher not to far from here, the prices are a little dearer although the meat is fresh and quality every time.
Very affordable products, I especially go to this place to buy Okro and goat meat. One of the few places in Brisbane to purchase Okro. The vegetables are fresh. The staff are neat and incredibly nice.
We have been shopping for meat , vegetables and seafood from Meatcity for the last 12 years at least and have never had a bad piece of meat or seafood including chicken and offal which are normally what you have to be careful with.The staff have always been helpful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for good meat at fair prices.
Can find just about everything you need in one place. Good value and fast service. They have a Seafood section, Asian grocery section, plenty of drinks, fruit and veg, yogurts, milk, heaps of meat, herbs, condiments and other random things. Very clean. Super friendly staff. They also have a cafe serving hot food open on certain days.
Very ordinary onions. Bought 1kg bucket only to have most of them rotten. Went back and complained, they gave me replacement bucket but they are almost just as bad. Pick and inspect pre-packed fruit and veg before buying.
Great prices on meat, a lot of fresh options, will be a regular
Always helpful.A pleasant place to shop and browse around as long as you have warm clothing.Would recommend it.
