HEALTH CODE VIOLATION, BUT THE STAFF DON'T CARE. I lodged a complaint with McDonald's via their order app on 26th January 2022 and never received a response. I emailed Hobson Bay City Council today. Hopefully, they will do something about it. ======================= My burgers came out with grease and stains all over the boxes. I took them back to the counter and asked for replacement. The person behind the counter asked if it was just the boxes that are dirty and if I just want new boxes. I was given two replacement Big Mac about 5 minutes later. Once again, these have grease on the boxes plus bits of cheese and lettuce as well. I took the untouched burger meals back to the counter and asked for a refund. A second staff member was also there. She tried to wipe the grease off the lid of the burger boxes but eventually gave me my refund from the till. There seems to be serious issues with food safety handling standards at McDonald's Altona. Staff seem to be aware of the issue but do not care. This poor attitude seems to go all the way to the manager who I presume to be the person who processed my refund. I understand that we are all doing it tough due to Covid and severe staff shortages in the hospitality industry but it's no excuse for such slipping standards of food safety.
The best McDonalds in Melbourne fresh, fast and reliable to get orders correct and I visit this one in particular for about 20 years, no matter where I relocate. Today's crew was friendly and very thoughtful. Got caught in a miserable rain with my stroller and walked in for a cuppa until rain subsided. The interaction in store and warm service from these young people made my day.
The worst McDonalds. Always guaranteed to have food items missing. Staff have no care factor with food items thrown in bags covered in grease. Orders are always taken wrong through the drive through and it’s too hard for them to adjust the order and take a payment.
Thought it would be a quick lunch on Sunday passing by, but with basically no service, it ended up being a 20mins wait with a diluted soft drink. All staff was busy serving drive throughs and pick ups. Self serving machine was not printing any receipts and you have no idea where you are in the queue. The counter queue starting growing for people who wanted go order and you have to remind the staff there are actually people waiting to be served before they realised they have customers at the counter.
Usually late night Maccas runs are quite decent, but we waited for so long in the drive through and the chips were hard, they had definitely been sitting in the chip dump for at least 5 minutes maybe and I used to fry lots of chips in hospo so I'm quite familiar with stale chips. Cheeseburger was also really dry and sad with a dry bun and meat. And no straw for the drinks, which is fine but when you gotta open the whole lid to drink whilst in a car it ain't fun.
Asked for extra cheese of my sausage McMuffins; got no cheese at all. Each experience at this store is stupid. The staff are just not trained or supported enough; or they’re too young and don’t care. Easily the worst store I’ve been to in Melbourne. Not even worth the custom, when each time I’ve got issues with the order. Don’t bother.
Just another Macca's and nothing stood out on this occassion. Last time we were here the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Somewhat cleaner on this occassion, thankfully. McDonalds the company or the licensee of this site needs to take a good, hard look at the cleanliness and hygiene regime. It's poorly lacking.
Absolute worst late night coffee money could buy, better off consuming fecal matter than the sad excuse for coffee that they sell. Incompetant baristers do not know how to make a simple coffee. Always over diluted with milk and always fail to put sugar when asked. In most cases coffee is luke warm and never hot enough. Beware if you want anything close to a decent coffee DO NOT buy from this mc donalds.
I just had the absolute worst McDonald’s food I’ve ever eaten here in Aus or overseas. Medium cheeseburger meal. How on earth they can serve such poor quality food beggars belief. The soggiest and cold fries imaginable combined with the saltiest unappetising cheeseburger. How can they serve such poor quality!? Yuk!
Be nice to see the bins in the carpark empty and the area cleaned up. Sad to see all the rubbish blowing around and no one talking responsibility. It’s a busy McDonalds that must make lots of $. Be nice to see them do the right thing by the community
