I dined in because the drive-thru line was 15 cars long... The food was fresh & hot but they were chronically understaffed & as a result, the restaurant was an absolute mess - bins overflowing, rubbish on the floor and food on the floor of the mens restroom... Funnily enough, the Maccas app may reduce the number of FOH staff required but they're not being redirected to clean up the place... it was a sad reflection on staffing levels at this franchise !
As is becoming painfully common in McDonald's restaurants, the self-service device is always out of receipt paper. Leaving you without knowing your order number when they call it out which can become very awkward. Also it took over 15 minutes to get my meal which looked pretty slapped together. All in all the workers looked really understaffed. This missing 2 stars isn't directed to the workers but to management for not providing enough workers

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Go right past McDonald's Caringbah and to Taren Point if you can cause the way people including myself were treated tonight was an absolute joke. I waited about an hour for a soft serve cone with my mate waiting the same amount of time for an Apple Pie. This is all whilst drive through orders were being given out every 2 minutes. When people we're finally given their food there was no apology whatsoever from staff. Appalling service, won't be returning until big change occurs within management and staffing. Having a few more staff on who don't spend time chatting with one another whilst people are waiting might be a start.
Ever reliable McDonald's experience with a refitted store. Shame they lost the kids play area to keep the little ones entertained. Often a wait for drive thru on a Fri night so be prepared.Food: 5/5
Made a simple order of a soft serve/ McFlurry and a cheeseburger to try and pick my spirits up, as I was feeling a little down in the dumps. Low and behold I find this monstrosity which looked to have been wrapped by a 5 year old whom just finished kindergarten barely scraped through. Apparently this child thought they could join a band and play the symbols with my meat paddies by the looks of things. To make it oh so much better, one side of the burger had been gripped by an angry gorilla from the Central African Range frustrated about losing its habitat awfully sad really. I would leave 0 stars if not for the fact the soft serve was worth 1 star oh the creamy goodness. All in all the only thing lifted at the end of the day was my toilet seat that part of the day can be left untold…. : Kid-friendliness: I believe it may have been a child making my order.
Very poorly presented store. Looked untidy. Tables had trays and leftover food. Floor was dirty with spilt fluids. Amenities were very dirty. Staff attitude was one of indifference. I'm not coming back.Food: 3/5
I know it's MACCAS, but wow. The WORST experience, drive through takes over 20mins and food is so bad. Crispy chicken wrap almost inedible, the only salvageable thing was the bottled water 2nd time in my life, never again Food: 1/5
I have been going to maccas at different locations on and off for the past 16 or so years. I've been to the caringbah store many times in the past and have never had a real issue. Sometimes I've had to wait 20 mins if it's really busy. Tonight was by far and away the worst 'service' I've ever had at a McDonald's. I ordered just one apple pie and waited 45 minutes for it. I could have done their job, walked in and removed it from the heater and been done in 10 seconds. There was no ticket generated from the machine, instead it displays the number on screen for 3 seconds so if you miss it good luck knowing what your order is. At least 20 orders were piling up on the counter mainly uber eats all going cold whilst everyone is so hungry they're ready to eat their receipt. All the uber drivers crowd around the orders so you can't see what's been made. Most people in the store had been waiting at least an hour. They had 2 kitchen staff on and 1 girl on the counter when we walked in, which later increased slightly. Ridiculous. The only positive is that I met some people who couldn't believe how bad the service was and we started laughing about it. Maccas put some more staff on. I won't be back to this store for a very long time. Will go to Taren Point instead.
Almost always misses things in drive through order and bins full to overflow when I am there. Floor, tables and seats often have smeared food itemsFood: 4/5
