The Paraparaumu McDonald's has had a refit October 2022 - the drive-thru now splits into two where two customers can place their orders simultaneously. After the two lanes merge into one lane for payment and then there are two pick up windows - one after the other. Once you are aware, it's very easy and fast. The staff are training up but even under training they are fast and friendly. Excellent service. As usual the food quality is consistently good - if one likes McDonald's.
As per the usual with McDonald’s, the food is thrown together with minimal care or effort, seating areas are disgusting and seldomly cleaned, staff are rude and lack any customer service and the food is just overpriced garbage. The image below speaks for itself. Nothing out of the ordinary here, better than the local KFC at least.
If they get your food right 4 out of 5 times, you'd have to say they're doing well for a McDonald's. This is usually not to bad. Vegetarian options: The veggie burgers are pretty good Kid-friendliness: Its McDonald's. Kids love it. Parking: The new carpark is even tighter to negotiate than the old one. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it has wheelchair access but good luck parking in the carpark.
Quick service if ordering to your table. Has a childrens play area outside, keeps the children entertained once they are finished eating.Food: 5/5
usually the food is average but today, the chips tasted like they had been left overnight and the pic is a reference of sizes, between a large and a medium, food was also a little on the colder side as if it had been left sitting for 5-10 minutes before I got it edit: well after a couple months of going else where I figured illd try again, don't be like me, stay away
Honestly, this branch of McDonalds is awful. I don't think they have got any order 100% correct. I thought things would improve after the renovations but nah. The children employed there seem either over-worked & very stressed or just don't give a hoot. It shows. I feel sorry for most of the employees but just imagine what's happenings in the kitchen if that's the "face" of the drive through....yikes
Got two fillet o fishes and the person who put them together needs to learn how to place a patty between two buns without it hanging out the side stuck to the cheese so it can’t be fixed. Either that or they hate their job so much they derive pleasure from botching up the most simple of tasks. Absolutely pathetic. Like whoever you are please look at your life.
Service here can be really hit and miss. Whilst the refurbish has the premises looking a lot better, the sheer volume of customers can mean lengthy wait times, especially in the drive thru. We waited 15mins in line and then another 15mins in the carpark for a McDip, understandable possibly for a large order but for an ice cream... just no. Another visit however had quick, friendly service inside the restaurant with the deliver-to-table option and did not take long at all for an order which was much more robust. Quality of the food is overall as to be expected with Maccas, busy times do see it get a bit sloppy however.
Avoid this business!!! This is the slowest fast food in the world. I ordered an ice-cream cone at 4.27pm on a Sunday when there were almost no customers. People who ordered after me got their food. 18 minutes later i finally received my ice-cream.
The staff were so lovely, and accomodating! And they went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our food. It’s great to see staff smiling when serving customers, i have never ever had that at another McDonald’s let alone a fast food place in nz. The drive thru layout was perfect. By far the best Mcdonalds I have ever been too, and I’ll be back in future!
