We went early on a Friday morning during the school holidays. There were no numbers at the kiosks so we had to pick up at the counter but it was still very quick service. The food was excellent and the coffee very nice. Enjoyed the quotes on the wall too.
Just been to McDonalds in George Street and would advise people to keep away from this branch. The place was filthy, the men’s toilets facilities had dried vomit on the toilet floors, hand basin etcnThe main restaurant area tables and floors had not been cleaned, The staff looked like they had been been working all week in their uniforms with old dryed food over them and this was at 5.30 in the morning!nHeaps of staff on preparing food for the day, so this was not due to staff shortages.nThe owner / manager should hang their head in shame. I decided not to eat here and go hungry instead.nTook photos to post, but decided to was to revolting to show!
The last few times I have gone, the dirt on both the tables and the floor is terrible. The service is not much better at the counter. I had to see a lady who was demanding in front of me for a tray and that they were giving her cold fries, which at first seemed in bad taste but then I agreed with her, since they also wanted to give me the cold and old fries, to which I asked the boy to change them for me, and they didn't give me a tray either despite requesting Eat In option. If you don't want to give trays, simply don't give the option anymore, because not even the tables are clean to use. One thing or the other. I understand that there may be a shortage of staff, but the place is simply getting worse. It doesn't seem like McDonald's quality standards.
Like other McDonald's, sitting area is good. Only thing that is different there is no drive through. It is very busy during school holidays for lunch. Its sitting area become very cold in winter, may be they need to change heater settings in cold weather.
Ok, I shouldn’t be coming to New Zealand to eat Maccas but it served a purpose when we were in a rush. The Big Mac was ok but the chips were limp and undercooked - they swapped them for a new batch, but it shouldn’t need to be like that.
